The Panasonic TH-86EQ2W from the EQ2 series is a professional standard display with 4K Ultra HD resolution for the digital signage sector. With its elegant, thin design and a brightness of 500 cd/m², it offers impressive image quality and is ideal for conference rooms in companies, classrooms or retail outlets. The panels are anti-glare and have a haze coating of 25%. This minimises glare from light sources and reflections and improves the visibility of your content. The Panasonic TH-86EQ2W can be used around the clock in both portrait and landscape format, including 20° tilt. For improved connectivity, the TH-86EQ2W has versatile interfaces, an integrated 4K-compatible USB media player, the Intel® SDM slot and two 10-watt speakers. 

4K UHD resolution and an ADS panel for bright images

With a brightness of 500 cd/m², the Panasonic TH-86EQ2W is suitable for rooms with normal brightness. The TH-86EQ2W should therefore not be installed in rooms with a huge window front. In principle, 90% of all meeting and conference rooms are suitable in this area. This brightness value is also more than sufficient in retail and store areas as long as the sun cannot shine directly on the display. The TH-86EQ2W also offers outstanding images with its high-quality 4K UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. An ADS panel was also installed in the display. In contrast to IPS technology, the ADS structure uses longitudinal and transverse electric fields for the parallel movement of liquid crystals. ADS also utilises the luminous flux more efficiently thanks to the indium tin oxide used. This material is very durable and reliable, improves colour rendering, increases viewing angles and has a very high light transmittance, which increases screen brightness. In addition, the 100% transparency allowed developers to place controls on the crystalline film. The lack of an additional protective coating increases the viewing angles by several degrees. The Panasonic display has a contrast ratio of 1200:1.

Vivid and almost real colours

The TH-86EQ2W also features 12-axis colour management: this allows the colour temperature, colour and brightness parameters of individual images to be adjusted for red, green and blue and their complementary colours cyan, magenta and yellow. In this way, the intermediate shades of the extremely fine colours are displayed vividly and realistically and all viewers are offered an incredibly realistic picture. 

Flexible mounting options 

The Panasonic TH-86EQ2W offers you a great deal of flexibility in terms of location and mounting, as it can be installed not only in landscape format (landscape) but also in portrait format (portrait). You can tilt the display forwards and backwards by 20°, both in landscape and portrait mode. This guarantees good readability when it is mounted higher, for example. This is often the case in fast food restaurants or stadiums. This means you can use the display in a wide variety of environments. 

It also has an extra anti-glare coating that minimises unwanted reflections. In combination with the 18/7 runtime release, you get a robust display that promises you a long service life. The TH-86EQ2W display is equipped with a slim design that can be integrated anywhere without taking up much space thanks to a frame of just 15.5 mm. The display is also 96 mm deep (including carrying handles), so even narrow aisles are no problem. 

Play playlists with the USB media player

Play your content on the TH-86EQ2W via a USB storage device. Simply plug your USB device into the USB slot provided on the display and your pictures, videos or entire playlists will be played automatically. Create playlists for restaurants, hotels or wellness areas, which then run throughout the day with the desired sequence of your content. You don't even need to buy any paid software for your playlists, as you can download the content management software free of charge from the Panasonic website. This allows you to easily create your own playlist, in which you can even combine still images and videos. You also have the option of creating schedules for when your playlists should be played. You can then synchronise and transfer these schedules to a USB storage device or via your LAN connection. 

No failures thanks to the failover function 

Should your system fail for a short time, you don't have to worry that your displays won't play any content. Panasonic has integrated the failover function for such situations, which switches the system to backup signals if a video or audio signal is interrupted. As soon as the main signals can be restored, the original image or video is displayed again. 

Variety of connections for more flexibility 

The TH-86EQ2W has a wide range of connections: you can look forward to three HDMI connections, a VGA connection (Mini D-Sub 15-pin (DDC2B)) and three USB connections (1x USB-A 3.0, 1x USB-A 2.0, 1x USB-C). This allows you to connect multiple devices for the next meeting in the meeting room. The display also has two integrated 10-watt speakers, so you don't need external speakers, which is particularly advantageous when a large display is installed in confined spaces. However, you can of course still connect external speakers. The audio input and output with 3.5 mm jack connection is also an advantage if you want to connect a microphone to the display or pass the audio signal through to a public address system. 

Reduce blue light - protect your eyes 

The TH-86EQ2W is equipped with a function that can reduce blue light by up to 50%. High-energy blue light is the short-wave part of the visible spectrum and is considered tiring for the eyes. This is usually not really noticeable when looking at the display for a short time, but it is a factor that can cause some health problems in the long term. 

Another feature of the display is its compatibility with HDMI CEC devices. This means you can play a film in your foyer without any problems. Simply connect your DVD/Blu-ray player to the display via an HDMI cable and visitors can watch an image film of your company. 

Optionally, you can purchase the Digital Link Terminal Board for easy installation and low system costs. Based on HDBaseT technology, DigitalLink supports the transmission of HDMI signals, video, audio and control commands over a single CAT5e cable (or higher) for distances of 150 metres for Full HD video and 50 metres for 4K video. With DigitalLink you therefore have low costs as you need fewer system upgrades, external receivers and less overall AV control software costs. There is also less chance of system failure as fewer cables and receivers are used. The Panasonic TH-86EQ2W is also equipped with an Intel® SDM slot standard. This supports 4K signals and you can easily add different interfaces via an interface board. You can insert the sizes SDM-S (60 mm x 100 mm) or SDM-L (175 mm x 100 mm) into the slot. Depending on the size, you can add further connections and connection options to your display. 

Control and management 

You can control the TH-86EQ2W and several devices simultaneously and integrate them into your existing system via the LAN connection. Panasonic also offers the Multi-Monitoring & Control software, with which you can control your displays and peripheral devices on the intranet. This can be expanded with additional functions such as the display of error messages or improved maintenance measures - but at a cost. In principle, however, the basic control functions are also sufficient. As a bonus, this display also has the cloning function, which makes it easier for you to set up several displays. If you install more than one TH-86EQ2W, you can use the cloning function to use a USB storage device to transfer the respective settings of a higher-level display to other devices.
