BYOM is prepared on the Airserver Connect 3. However, a dongle is required for BYOM, which is not yet available. The dongle will be available at the end of Q2/24 at the earliest.
All other functions are not affected by this, only BYOM - i.e. connecting existing room equipment to the Connect 3 and then using it wirelessly with a laptop - is not yet possible

The AirServer Connect 3 is a universal solution that supports AirPlay 2, Miracast and Google Cast protocols, making it suitable for all devices from Mac, iOS and Windows to Android.

.With the AirServer Connect 3, you can connect up to three screens. The maximum output resolution is 4K at 60 FPS, ideal for large rooms or digital signage applications or for smooth streaming experiences on multiple screens. Up to 32 participants can be connected to an AirServer, with a maximum of 12 contents being displayed simultaneously. To avoid chaos during a presentation, the Airserver is equipped with a sophisticated moderation function. Perfect for larger meetings or teaching. Touchscreen support for wireless, interactive meetings is possible with the Airserver Connect 3 via Miracast.
Incidentally, the Airserver Connect 3 offers DRM support via Google Cast, which means that providers such as Disney, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. can also be streamed at any time without restrictions.
Connecting devices and peripherals has never been easier than with the Connect 3. A single USB-C cable transmits power, audio, video, touch, Ethernet and even camera signals. This means: fewer cables, more efficiency. Microphones, speakers or video cameras can also be connected to the BYOM device at any time via one of the two USB 3.2 type A ports. The Airserver 3 makes installation as easy as possible. Speaking of easy installation: A magnetic holder is included in the scope of delivery, which easily holds the Connect 3 on displays, brackets or other metal surfaces - without the hassle of drilling etc. The Connect 3 is significantly smaller than most other BYOM devices on the market. In combination with the magnetic holder, it can be mounted behind the display without any problems. For those who are concerned about theft protection: a Kensignton slot is available and thus offers all the options to make the Connect 3 theft-proof.
With the new cloud management portal from AirServer, your IT department can control, monitor and connect to all AirServer Connect 3 devices in operation in your company or school environment. Administrators can assign user rights for broadcasting or streaming so that you can determine and define what is allowed with the AirServer Connect 3 and who has access to these functions at any time. In schools in particular, you naturally want to prevent any student from simply disrupting a presentation and this is precisely why such protection is essential. However, it is also possible to provide Internet and LAN access for users while they are connected to the Airserver Connect 3.
