The Logitech MeetUp is a professional all-in-one video conferencing camera from Logitech, specially designed for small conference rooms and impromptu meetings in small meeting rooms. From now on, you no longer have to all huddle around a small laptop display, because the Logitech MeetUp simply connects to a PC and a display or projector. With ultra-high definition 4K video quality and a wide 120-degree field of view from the ultra-wide angle lens, the Logitech MeetUp ensures that everyone seated at the conference table is clearly visible. The built-in microphones in the beamforming array ensure that all participants can be heard clearly. RightSound technology ensures that louder and softer voices are automatically balanced and background noise is suppressed. The Logitech MeetUp is our first choice when a simple but professional solution is needed for so-called huddle rooms. The MeetUp is not only very compact and can therefore be attached to displays like a sound bar, but also offers numerous solutions for high-quality meetings with participants from all over the world.

The Logitech MeetUp is a small performance miracle. The compact housing hides a lot of technology and functions that will make your everyday meeting much easier. The 4K camera from Logitech has a lens with a pan and tilt function. RightSight automatically moves the camera and adjusts the zoom so that everyone present is perfectly aligned in the picture. In a video conference, it is extremely important that every participant can be seen and that some do not fall out of the picture. All this happens completely without manual adjustments, because you should concentrate on what is really important: Your meeting. By the way, if you still want to adjust the camera manually, simply use the supplied remote control or control the camera via the app for Android and iOS.

But the perfect alignment of participants is only one important component of a video conference, because in conference and meeting rooms there is more that can influence a successful course of events. In offices, for example, there is always the problem of high room brightness or disturbing sunlight. Even changing light conditions can distract your counterpart, which is why Logitech has developed RightLight technology. The video output remains constant even in changing light conditions, so the view in the background or natural light incidence does not have to be blocked by closed or darkened windows. Many video conferencing cameras have big problems with backlighting, but with the Logitech MeetUp you have a solution that is convincing even in difficult lighting conditions.

Let's move on to the subject of sound, because here too the MeetUp offers a performance spectrum that you wouldn't actually expect in this price segment. The MeetUp has an integrated AI (artificial intelligence), which recognises the differences between human speech and ambient noise through machine learning and can thus focus on the voice. This AI is regularly improved through new firmware updates, so it is available to you throughout the life of the product. This AI is supported by Logitech RightSound. This suite of technology optimises sound processing that enables professional sound for business video conferencing. RightSound is optimised for voice transmission, reducing unwanted noise (such as fans and keyboard clacking) and highlighting the person currently speaking so that every word can be heard clearly. An advanced voice detection algorithm even automatically raises the volume on quiet talkers so no voice is drowned out. The Logitech MeetUp's built-in beamforming microphones are optimised for up to 4 metres, but if you want to extend the range (up to 5 metres), you can purchase an optional extra microphone.

The Logitech MeetUp can work with any popular video conferencing software and cloud-based applications you use on your Windows PC or MAC PC. The camera is compatible with Microsoft Teams, Skype, Zoom, Blizz, Lifesize, Cisco, Vidyo, among others.

Our opinion:

The Logitech MeetUp is the perfect camera for small meeting and conference rooms. We are convinced by the price-performance ratio, because the MeetUp does not have to hide in comparison with other professional solutions that cost considerably more money. The camera can be used at any time like a normal webcam and can be combined with almost any software or cloud solution. In the test, the 5x zoom always reaches its limits when the participants are sitting too far away or small objects are to be presented. However, if you consider what the Logitech MeetUp was designed for, namely to capture several participants in a room and to maintain a high level of speech intelligibility, you can safely overlook these minor issues. Especially in the important points: Resolution, image transmission quality, output quality of the integrated speakers and the speech intelligibility of our counterpart, the 4K camera completely convinced us. It's a bit of a shame that Logitech doesn't include a USB 3.0 cable with the camera and that you can only use the included USB 2.0 cable for Full HD transmission. We would definitely recommend purchasing a USB 3.0 cable here, as the image quality is significantly improved,
