The Kindermann KLICK+SHOW K-FX PLUS is the most powerful dual-screen collaboration system to date in Kindermann's BYOD and BYOM solutions. This base station transforms your meeting rooms into hybrid dual-screen conference rooms and facilitates collaboration between the office and remote participants. It wirelessly connects laptops to the two main screens and to existing USB devices (video/soundbars, cameras, speakerphones) in the room. The Kindermann KLICK+SHOW K-FX PLUS is a universal, cross-platform solution for wireless BYOD presentations and BYOM conferences: Use BYOD and present your content wirelessly via transmitters, apps for Windows, MacOS, Android or via AirPlay, Miracast and GoogleCast. With BYOM, you can wirelessly use existing room equipment such as cameras, hands-free devices and loudspeakers for conferences on the PC and thus include all participants in the video conference. In addition, the KLICK+SHOW K-FX PLUS is equipped with advanced dual functions such as dual screen, dual cam and HDMI input for doubly productive wireless meetings. With the KLICK+SHOW K-FX PLUS you get excellent picture quality with dual-screen HDMI output in 4K@60Hz & 1080P@60Hz resolution. The dual-cam function offers different perspectives for remote online participants with 2 switchable USB cameras, either wirelessly via BYOM or USB host cable on a stationary PC. The 4K HDMI input displays your content from wired HDMI sources. Important: The Kindermann KLICK+SHOW K-FX PLUS is only the base station, compatible transmitters (HDMI, USB-C, 4K HDMI, 4K USB-C) must be purchased separately, as the base station is not available as a kit.
Universal BYOD & BYOM conferencing & compatibility
The KLICK+SHOW K-FX PLUS base station from Kindermann works with any UC technology, i.e. all providers of software and cloud-based video conferencing solutions. So it doesn't matter whether you want to use Zoom today, Microsoft Teams tomorrow and then Webex or another provider such as Google Meet, Bluejeans, Slack, Cisco Webex and so on. You alone decide which video conferencing software you need for the upcoming meeting. In addition, the KLICK+SHOW K-FX PLUS is compatible with almost all USB video soundbars, USB speakerphones and professional AEC (Active Echo Cancellation) solutions with USB interface on the market - as long as they support the UVC/UAC protocol and transmit video data via MJPEG or YUV. Only devices with integrated AEC are supported, e.g. video soundbars, speakerphones, room solutions with PTZ cameras. Don't worry: almost all devices available today fulfil these requirements, so you are always free to choose. Simply decide for yourself whether it should be a USB camera from Poly, Huddly, Vaddio, AVer, Logitech, Jabra, etc.
Commissioning
How does the connection with the room hardware work? It's actually quite simple: you need a display, a video soundbar or a PTZ video conferencing camera and an external USB hands-free kit. If you want to use an all-in-one video soundbar, please note that it must have hardware-based echo cancellation. But we can reassure you right away: professional solutions almost always have hardware-side echo cancellation (AEC), only with consumer products should you enquire about this in advance. Once you've got the right hardware together, it's time for the cabling. Connect the KLICK+SHOW K-FX PLUS to the display via an HDMI cable. Then simply connect the camera via USB (the base station has a USB-C port and 3 USB-A ports on the back for this purpose. For 4K cameras, we recommend cabling via USB-C, as many USB cameras only allow 4K display via this connection. If you also use an external hands-free kit, simply connect it to one of the existing USB-A ports on the back.
Integration into company networks and administration
So that your participants can also use the existing Internet, we also recommend cabling via LAN cable. There are two separate LAN connections on the back of the K-FX PLUS (2× 1000 MBit/s, LAN 1 with PoE). This allows the internal company network to be connected to the Kindermann conference system on one side and the external guest network on the other, thus reliably separating guests from the secure company network. Klick&Show K-FX PLUS also has an integrated configurable WiFi hotspot and web server, allowing quick and easy plug & play set-up in typical environments without the need for integration into the corporate network. Klick&Show is delivered pre-configured and ready to use. You can also connect the Kindermann K-FX PLUS to the Internet via WLAN. In this case, however, we recommend that you realise the connection via an access point that can provide both a company and a guest network. Once the Internet issue has been resolved, you are as good as done. For simple connections with your laptop, you should connect either the optionally available HDMI or the USB-C dongle to the Kindermann K-FX PLUS. To do this, take one of the dongles and plug it into the connection on the front of the K-FX PLUS base and wait briefly until the dongle is connected to the Klick+Show. Then repeat the process with the second button. As soon as this process is complete, a success message appears on the display, the dongles are ready for use and can now be connected to your notebook or PC. Then install the WirelessMedia app and you are ready to start your first wireless video conference.
With Klick&Show, you can display and compare your content from up to 4 different devices simultaneously on one main screen, which makes for more productive meetings, especially in group meetings. The split screen is displayed in high 4K resolution, so that even detailed content can be read optimally. With 2 main displays and the integrated split screen function, the K-FX Plus can display and compare content from up to 5 different devices simultaneously. In addition, 2 USB cameras can be used alternately for online meetings, either wirelessly for BYOM calls or via USB cable on a stationary PC. Wired HDMI sources can be connected via the 4K-compatible HDMI input.
No dongles are supplied with this item, but you are free to choose between the optional Kindermann USB-C and HDMI dongles. there are 4 types of Klick&Show transmitters to choose from: 4K and 1080P, HDMI and USB-C respectively.
The new Kindermann Klick+Show dongles now also have an integrated memory on which the drivers and the necessary WirelessMedia software are stored and are therefore immediately available. You can purchase additional HDMI dongles at any time, or combine them with the Kindermann USB-C dongles for greater flexibility. The USB-C dongle keeps you up to date and many modern notebooks already have a USB-C port, so it's good to have an alternative to hand. Of course, you also have the option of including participants in the meeting without dongles. All you need is the free WirelessMedia software, which you can download here here. This software is available for Windows, Android and macOS. The WirelessMedia software can be used both in conjunction with the dongles and without a dongle as a standalone solution. Once installed on the PC, notebook or mobile device, you can also start a wireless video conference or presentation without a dongle. This software can also be used to make numerous settings, such as the extended desktop, resolution, presentation mode, etc. The K-FX PLUS dongles make presentations easier, especially for guests, as the software is stored on the dongles and no longer needs to be downloaded manually from the Internet. After the initial installation, a simple click on the button is all it takes to become part of the presentation.
You can also include mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets in your meeting at any time. The Kindermann KLICK+SHOW K-FX PLUS supports all common wireless transmission options: AirPlay, Miracast or ChromeCast and you don't even need to install an app for this. Please note, however, that these wireless presentation options are not able to access the room camera and room audio wirelessly. These transmission technologies can therefore only be used to participate in presentations (BYOD) in order to share your screen, but wireless video conferencing is not possible. This is not due to any restrictions on Kindermann's part, but solely to the providers of the wireless transmission options.
Up to 30 devices can be connected to a Klick&Show base at the same time, either via 4 types of WiFi transmitters, the available software PC client, the native AirPlay, Miracast or GoogleCast protocol or the free Android app. Use the click & show presenter function to manage potential presenters via thumbnails. An extended screen, which is particularly practical for presentations, can also be displayed at any time with the K-FX PLUS. The Kindermann KLICK+SHOW K-FX PLUS also has a whiteboard and annotation function. In combination with a large-format interactive screen as the main display, you can record spontaneous brainstorming sessions on a blank canvas in whiteboarding mode - or switch to annotation mode to highlight or comment on relevant topics on the main screen. You can then take screenshots and share them with all participants.
New: Thanks to the integrated digital signage function, you can use the display of your Klick&Show system even when no meetings are taking place. Depending on the day and time, any web content can be loaded and the existing display used to show information.
