Ultra-short and ultra-modern: This is the new ultra-short distance laser beamer LS831WU from ViewSonic. With it, the American manufacturer is launching a new projector that is ideal for installations in challenging environments such as shop windows, info zones and non-darkened meeting rooms or classrooms. The LS831WU also uses the latest 2nd generation laser phosor technology and, with 20,000 lifetime , delivers long-lasting and virtually maintenance-free use. 4500 ANSI lumens and an ultra-high contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 give you bright and crisp images in any environment. Thanks to the ultra-short projection ratio of 0.252, you get a 200 cm image from a distance of just 50 cm. Plus, you'll stay flexible: with the help of the keystone adjustment and 360° projection, you can easily adapt the laser projector to your spatial requirements. Its compact size and built-in HDBaseT receiver also give you a cost-effective solution with the highest quality. Complementing the LS831WU's portfolio are two great-sounding built-in speakers, with three audio modes for multimedia use even without external speakers.

With the ViewSonic vController tool, up to 256 projectors can be controlled. To do this, simply connect the projector with a Cat.5e/6 cable. The HDBaseT receiver of the LS831WU is compatible with any certified HDBaseT transmitter. For example, you can use it to connect several projectors with each other across several rooms. Especially in large rooms, halls or at events, HDBaseT makes installation much easier and also reduces installation costs. With the VC10/VSR100 HDMI dongle for presentations, you can transfer 4K content from laptops or mobile devices to the projector. The LS831WU has two HDMI inputs (2x HDMI 2.0 HDCP 2.2), 1 VGA port through which you can connect your computer, and an RJ45 LAN port. Via the VGA output, you can simply loop the picture through to a monitor or display and thus also provide a live picture in the foyer of a conference room, for example. Via the RS232 port , the LS831WU can also be integrated into existing room control solutions at any time. The projector also has a USB type A port for power supply and maintenance. 

One last special feature of the LS831WU: the projector has two 10-watt cube loudspeakers integrated, with which you are already equipped with high-quality sound for presentations or museum exhibitions. ViewSonic has also developed its own technology here, with which you can choose between 3 modes: So you get three optimised audio modes for standard situations, spoken content and entertainment. In standard mode, you can play back most types of audio such as speech, music, film with adequate sound and is therefore suitable for many areas of use. Speech mode allows you to play back especially spoken content. Conference calls or lectures are ideal for this.  Entertainment mode gives you music and video with more bass and detail in mid to high frequencies, which is great for simulation or experience centres. Museums can also make good use of the LS831WU in entertainment mode. You can still connect additional loudspeakers to the projector via the audio output (3.5 mm) , but can sometimes do without an external sound system for meetings scheduled at short notice. 

 For many people, volume is one of the most important criteria for or against a purchase, and so we would like to address this topic as well. ViewSonic has combined various technologies in this device to reduce the noise level to 31dB (Eco mode). In standard mode, the projector's noise level is 36dB, which is a reasonable value for a projector with 4500 ansi lumens.
