ViewSonic launches the EP5542T, a new interactive all-in-one ePoster in portrait format. The free-standing 55" multi-touch display with 10-point touch function is ideal for use in hotels, restaurants and retail ? even in high-traffic areas. Thanks to the scratch-resistant tempered glass pane, even difficult environmental conditions are no problem and you can enjoy the interactive ePoster for a long time. Hidden inside the slim stele is a powerful quad-core media player with Android 8 operating system and 16 GB of storage space, allowing you to store your signage content quickly and easily on the player. The back of the stele can accommodate an additional media player or mini-PC, which you can secure with a lockable door. There are also two integrated speakers, combining excellent screen performance with stereo sound ? for an immersive multimedia experience. ViewSonic delivers its usual high-quality picture results in 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) with a brightness of 450 cd/m². New to this ePoster is the included blue light filter, which offers you an eye-friendly viewing experience without compromising on colours and display. As already mentioned, the EP5542T has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and displays your advertising content in brilliant UHD quality. The 4K resolution offers you the advantage that images can be displayed in even greater detail and finer detail. In addition, visitors see a significantly better image, even at a short distance, which could never be realised in comparison to Full HD resolutions. Add to this a brightness of 450 ^cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1300:1, for an excellent picture experience. A special feature of the ViewSonic EP5542T is the built-in blue light filter: custom settings have been added to the display to protect the eyes from the effects of blue light. At the same time, you and your customers are still guaranteed the highest colour quality and your eyes are protected.

The interactive ePoster can be operated and used entirely via the touch function. As with the predecessor model, ViewSonic continues to rely on high-resolution infrared technology, which ensures comfortable interaction. Long queues in restaurants during annoying rush hours are no longer a problem with a touch display: Customers can order and pay on their own at self-service stations, for example, and while they wait you can display promotional content such as special offers to attract customers' attention. Displaying e-catalogues in clothing shops or using the ePoster as an information and signposting kiosk are further application examples of hundreds of thousands of other possibilities you get with such a digital signage display.

Using an RS232 or RJ45 connection between a computer and the digital billboard, users can manage OSD settings such as on/off, display signal source or sound and other general settings. Using the internal scheduler, you can set up the time and date so that your multimedia files run smoothly and on time. Example kiosk or café: In the morning from 7 a.m. you show your coffee selection, which customers receive together with a muffin, at noon there's the sandwich for a small price and in the evening from 5:30 p.m. customers can choose from different after-work sandwiches. And then the ePoster is supposed to switch off punctually at 8 pm. With the EP5542T, all this is possible. You can also easily display your individual photos, music or even 4K videos directly on the screen via the USB port. Just plug in your USB storage device and you're ready to go. You'll also find more connections on the back of the stele, which are behind a locked door, so not everyone can easily access the connections and unplug them. Behind the lockable flap you will find three HDMI 2.0 connections, one VGA connection, one DisplayPort 1.2 connection, three USB 2.0 type A and one RS232C connection. In the lower area of the pedestal are the USB type B connections already mentioned as well as the RJ45. You can replace the LAN port at any time with an optionally available WLAN dongle to get a wireless connection. No matter which Internet access you choose, this allows you and your users to conveniently search online and view media files such as pictures and videos directly on the display without having to connect to another computing device.

Let's move on to the EP5542T's compatibility with ProAV control systems: This new ePoster from ViewSonic also allows integration with ProAV control systems such as Crestron, AMX, Extron and Control4, enabling IT to remotely manage and configure settings for additional display devices via the LAN connection. New with the EP5542T is that it is additionally compatible with SureMDM as well as Revel Digital. This gives you more leeway when using the touch display.

If you're looking for a reliable yet elegant and high-quality display solution for the digital signage sector, then the EP5542T is exactly what you're looking for. The ePoster is perfect for digital advertising: you can use the EP5542T not only in retail, but also in museums, schools or companies. And you don't have to worry about operation: Content creation is straightforward and you can create your own content in no time, just the way you like it. Visitors and customers can then control and operate the display themselves thanks to the touch function. The integrated media player and the two loudspeakers are a big plus: you do not need any additional devices and are therefore always flexible in use and orientation. And if you do need additional storage space and more power, you can accommodate your own additional media player on the back. And thanks to the scratch-resistant 7H tempered glass, your ePoster will still look like new many years from now.
