The new Samsung SBB-SS08NV2XEN Signage Player Box is the perfect solution for integrating all your existing third-party displays and projectors into the popular Samsung MagicInfo universe. With this innovative box, you can now also connect third-party displays, TVs and projectors to your MagicInfo server and are no longer limited exclusively to Samsung displays. The Samsung SBB-SS08NV2XEN supports 4K content in UHD resolution (3840x2160 pixels at 60 FPS) and can be integrated into the existing company network via cable and WiFi in addition to a normal network connection.
The SBB-SS08NV2XEN is equipped with the MagicInfo Player version S6 (SSSP6) and is also compatible with HTML5 and ES6 thanks to the powerful Chromium web engine. The SBB for third-party devices is equipped with a Cortex A72 processor, which operates with a 1.7GHz quad core and is equipped with 2.5 GB DDR4 memory. The pre-installed Tizen 4.0 operating system (Linux-based), in combination with the aforementioned processor, offers the perfect performance for playing back your high-quality content. A good 4 GB of internal memory is available. Optionally, you can also play your existing content directly via the USB 2.0 port. We have already had good experience with an external Samsung SSD with 256GB of storage space, and it is also the best solution if the internal storage is not enough and you want to publish large videos via MagicInfo. The Samsung SBB-SS08NV2XEN is connected to a display or projector via HDMI and then only needs to be supplied with power. To enable you to switch your display on and off via the external media player, the Samsung SBB has HDMI-CEC and as long as your display or TV is also CEC-capable, the box can send the control signal to the respective end device. If you then specify in this display device that the display or projector should switch on or off as soon as a signal arrives or just go out when there is no more signal, you don't need to worry about anything else and can concentrate on your actual business.
Please note: You do not have access to the virtual remote control of the projector or display. This virtual remote control is only available with Samsung Signage Displays. However, you can always see in real time which content is currently being played on the set-back box . You just cannot configure or control the display via the server.
The main use of the SBB-SS08NV2XEN for third-party devices is clearly Samsung MagicInfo compatibility. Samsung does not always have the right solution for everyone with its displays. However, once you have decided on Samsung MagicInfo, you would otherwise have to look for a new digital signage provider that combines different manufacturers. With this box, you can now elegantly circumvent this problem because you can simply make almost any display device MagicInfo compatible and continue to rely on the popular Samsung MagicInfo CMS. Samsung MagicInfo is a digital signage solution that allows you to conveniently manage and even create your content via a server using a network cable or WiFi. MagicInfo is a very comprehensive software that allows you, among other things, to create different user groups and to set up schedules for the presentation of your content. The optional MagicInfo Premium version also offers a wide range of features, such as multi-content display or the recording of your video wall. MagicInfo Unified is chargeable from the first display onwards. However, this is a one-time expense per display, as you receive a lifetime licence which can be transferred to other devices at any time. However, you can also connect the Samsung SBB-SS08NV2XEN to the MagicInfo Server at any time with the free MagicInfo Lite licence (Lite is free of charge up to 25 devices, from the 26th device onwards you then need the paid Lite extension licence) .

If you relied on MagicInfo in the past, you were always forced to purchase professional Samsung signage devices. With this box, this constraint is a thing of the past, because now you can also easily retrofit existing displays, TV sets, beamers or monitors with MagicInfo. All the target device needs to have is an HDMI input and . The Samsung SBB-SS08NV2XEN is an innovative solution and allows you to use one of the best digital signage systems on the market and have free choice when it comes to device selection.
