Online communication in the working world takes place via certain apps. The Poly Studio P5 is compatible with any video application for this purpose. Simply connect the camera to your MAC or Windows PC via USB 2.0 cable and start a video conferencing tool of your choice. Whether it's Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Zoom, GoToMeeting or other tools, you can use the P5 with any system as long as it supports the USB/UVC standard.

The Poly Studio P5 video camera has another practical feature: it has an integrated lens cover. This so-called privacy shutter gives you control over when you can be seen in front of the camera and when you prefer to be invisible. Especially in the home office, this can sometimes be a blessing and save you from unnecessarily embarrassing scenes. Who hasn't experienced it: sometimes a child jumps into the picture, sometimes the master of the house runs through the room lightly dressed after a night shift or the cat jumps around in the background. With lens coverage, you have more control over what others can see.

But that's not all: the speaker has intelligent arrays with three microphones that suppress echoes and noise during meetings and customer calls, allowing you to concentrate on the meeting participants, customers and your own voice. In addition, the bass-reflex system with two passive diaphragms ensures that your voice is natural and deep bass has more clarity.

You can also programme your favourite function so that it is activated with just one touch. For example, you might want to listen to music between phone calls and meetings, which automatically activates it, or you might want to have redial of the last number or a voice assistant on this function - no problem! In addition, the Poly Sync 20+ conference speaker also supports collaboration via Microsoft Teams. For this, you have a special Teams button with direct access to the app on the speaker.

In terms of connectivity, the Poly Sync 20+ is convincing: you have two options for how you prefer to connect the speaker. You can simply connect your smartphone wirelessly via Bluetooth® using the supplied BT600 USB adapter or your PC via a USB cable. The conference speaker's battery lasts up to 20 hours, so you can conveniently charge it in the evening after work via the USB cable.

With the free Plantronics Hub software, you can select language and function and keep your current firmware up to date.
