The Sharp/NEC MultiSync P495 PG - a robust large-format display for 24/7 use thanks to stable protective glass! Ultra HD resolution, 700 cd/m² brightness and a low-reflection surface coating ensure that your images, videos and documents are displayed perfectly even in very bright surroundings. In addition, the MultiSync P495 PG also has an extended colour space, the
As mentioned earlier, the P495 PG comes to you with a protective glass: The display is equipped with a Schott
For more effective marketing communication, a digital signage solution offers ideal possibilities. The prerequisite for this is, of course, that the display also has appropriate image qualities. The Sharp/NEC P495 PG has ultra-high 4K resolution at 3840 x 2160 pixels and a brightness of 700 cd/m², so that high-end applications in restaurants, command and control areas, retail, museums and corporate environments, where communicating important messages requires premium devices with a wide range of functions, come across clearly. The panel is also anti-reflective (Pro Haze level of 28%), which means you don't have to worry about reflections from windows or other light sources and guarantees a distortion-free image of your content. With these parameters the MultiSync P495 PG is suitable for rooms and locations with bright lighting conditions, such as retail shops, passenger information systems and other public places, as well as colour-critical reference applications for science, media and control rooms. Likewise, the next time you give a presentation in the conference room, you are assured of a perfect display of your content. The P495 PG's HDR compatibility additionally ensures vivid and natural images and videos.
The MultiSync P495 PG has a professional-class panel with a wide colour gamut that displays significantly more visible colours than comparable panels. Combined with NEC's proprietary
The MultiSync P495 PG display from Sharp/NEC supports the simultaneous display of several images via Multi Picture Mode. In conjunction with the
With the Sharp/NEC MultiSync P495 PG you also have the option of connecting several displays of this series to form a video wall. To do this, you can use the daisy chain function via the DisplayPort output. By daisy-chaining the HDMI Out or DisplayPort Out video connections, a video wall is created in which a single image can be played back across all monitors in tiles. Nowadays, video walls are not only used in large shopping centres and shops, but installations of several flat screens also make sense as information boards in public places or in control rooms. In principle, this option of linking several displays together and displaying a larger image is a practical possibility. However, if you want to use a wall as a permanent solution, we recommend the video wall displays specially designed for this application or an LED wall right away.
The MultiSync P495 PG can distribute both HDMI and DisplayPort input signals directly via daisy chain. DisplayPort daisy-chaining has also been expanded to include DisplayPort 1.4 and HBR3 functions. This means that up to four independent displays can now be driven from the same DisplayPort source via MST (Multi-Stream Transport)* by bundling multiple video streams into a single stream and sending it to the display, which then unbundles the signals back into the original streams - ideal for menu boards and retail applications. You also have the ability to handle 8K signals via the DisplayPort connector: By bundling screens together using the Tile Matrix function, i.e. when DisplayPort video signals are displayed across multiple monitors, true 8K video can be played back using a daisy-chain connection via the DisplayPort connector.
* = MST functions are dependent on the system's graphics card.
From time to time it may happen that the content is no longer shown on the display due to the failure of a signal source. For this reason, Sharp/NEC has developed the Input Detect function for the P495 PG: this allows you to prioritise up to three input sources which the display can then access if a main signal source fails. The display then switches automatically according to your defined prioritisation. The First Detect option also ensures that the display switches on automatically when a source is connected and the display thus receives a synchronised signal.
In this context, let's move on to the topic of connection options: Here two HDMI 2.0 inputs and two DisplayPort inputs are available, with which you can connect computers and Blu-ray or DVD players, for example. For the necessary sound, external speakers can also be added, such as the Passive Collaboration Soundbar SP-PSCM-IQ , which you can find in our shop. USB ports are also built into the unit: The USB downstream port (type A) is suitable for external devices such as cameras, flash memory or keyboards. With the USB-B upstream port, you connect your PC via a USB cable and can then control the devices connected to the USB port. In addition, there is a USB port for devices that need a power supply, such as a multi-presenter stick for the next corporate presentation.
Above all, however, the Sharp/NEC MultiSync P495 PG scores points when more computing power is required: the display has an
The Sharp/NEC P-Series also has the option of being upgraded with a BirdDog
There is also the option of upgrading the P495 PG further: the P-Series also supports the integration of a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 can be used just below the Intel SDM slot. This open-platform solution offers above all flexibility and performance in the creation of customised display applications. Gigabyte network speeds, faster CPU and 4K support are just a few features. In addition, the module also includes the new, user-friendly NEC MediaPlayer. The intuitive user interface of the NEC MediaPlayer allows you to upload, schedule and edit your playlists, access the internal storage, retrieve online media via an internal browser or connect the RPi to CMS platforms of qualified partners. The display interface board's Ethernet and USB interfaces allow easy integration into a network or connection to external devices such as mouse, keyboard and touch. For more information, you can view and purchase the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 in our shop. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our customer service (phone, email, live chat).
Facility managers also benefit from the Sharp/NEC MultiSync P495 PG Display, because thanks to the integrated LAN and the NaViSet Administrator 2 software tool, the display can be controlled via the network. All connected NEC devices can be managed from a central location. Change settings or perform operations on the units, such as power on/off, change input signal, mute, etc., or check settings and/or parameters on a regular basis. These are just a few of the functions you get with the NaViSet Administrator 2 software tool. For more information you can simply follow this link. Your administration effort and the associated costs are reduced - this is how resource-saving device management works!
In addition to landscape and portrait installation, the Sharp/NEC MultiSync P495 PG also offers the special feature of face-up and face-down installation: i.e. you have the option of installing the display with the screen surface facing up or down. Only very, very few displays on the market really have this option. Normally, these have a maximum tilt angle of up to 15°. The thus opens up new possibilities for you, to make an immediate impression on customers and to present information in exciting new ways, e.g. for high-profile retail advertising, for menu boards in fast-food restaurants or innovative signposts and points of interest (POI) in public spaces. For mounting, you can use the VESA standard 300 x 300 mm and the weight of 31.8 kg as a guide. You have the options of either installing the display directly on the wall using a wall bracket or using a ceiling bracket (for face-down installation), a stand, a trolley or a height-adjustable bracket. To do this, you can simply browse through our shop at and select your desired mount with the corresponding parameters, VESA standard and weight. If you have any questions, our customer service will be happy to help you by phone, e-mail or live chat.
In the design of the MultiSync P495 PG, Sharp/NEC has paid attention to a robust construction. In the housing structure , plastic has been completely dispensed with: The frame and the rear cover are made entirely of metal and are therefore not only sustainable but also particularly safe. A metal enclosure passes the fire tests, as prescribed in public buildings, significantly better than displays with plastic components. Metal also has a high thermal conductivity, so that the heat generated inside the display can be quickly dissipated. In addition, built-in temperature sensors and active fans ensure that the MultiSync P495 PG display does not overheat and delivers constant brightness values. Good thermal management is essential for a long service life and constant performance of electronic components. This protects your investment in the long term.
The Sharp/NEC MultiSync P495 PG is listed with a daily runtime of 24 hours and is therefore specifically suitable for applications in which reliable continuous operation is a must: for example, as a control solution in the transport sector, the energy sector, the defence industry or for manufacturing companies, but also for route guidance systems and in corporate communications.
Sharp/NEC also offers a 3-year manufacturer's warranty on this display. Optionally, you can request a warranty extension to 4 or 5 years from us.
Our opinion on the Sharp/NEC MultiSync P495 PG display:
The Sharp/NEC MultiSync P495 PG convinces first and foremost with its robust construction: In addition to the metal housing, the P495 PG is also equipped with a 4 mm thick protective glass pane and thus provides lasting protection for your investment. The P495 PG is the ideal display if you use it e.g. as a digital signage solution for shorter viewing distances in public areas with heavy public traffic. So use it in, for example, transport, retail, hospitality or robust industrial applications. The Sharp/NEC MultiSync P495 PG offers, in addition to the excellent picture quality, a reliable 24/7 operational readiness and the possibility to equip the P495 PG display with more computing power. You can also add the Raspberry Pi Module 4 or an
