The NEC M431 PCAP is equipped with PCAP touch technology, has a multi-touch surface with 20 touch points and can be used with fingers or the stylus pen on Windows, Android, Linux or Raspberry Pi. At the same time, the anti-reflective coating helps to avoid annoying reflections or other irritations caused by light sources, thus enabling an interference-free display of digital signage content or presentations in the conference room. The robust glass surface is perfectly suited to withstand the demands of public use. With the NaviSet Administrator 2 software tool, you can control your content remotely, saving time and also money on maintenance. We start with the touch technology of the Sharp/NEC MultiSync M431 PCAP. The display is equipped with PCAP technology: Projected Capacitive Touch (also known as PCT or PCAP) layers conductive wires in rows and columns on two parallel sheets of glass. Essentially, a grid pattern of fine wires is created and voltage is applied sequentially to the rows and columns. Wherever the screen is touched by a finger, the controller detects the change in capacitance in the network of wires. PCT screens can detect multiple touch points. This gives you a natural 'pen on paper' experience. This means that writing on the screen is as fast and feels like writing on a flipchart or whiteboard. Using your finger or pen, notes can be added as simple text or by freehand drawing to highlight changes and annotate the information on the screen. This allows you to quickly get an overview in boardroom presentations, but also focus on important details. An incredible advantage of this technology is that it is very consistent: thanks to the IP-certified glass surface (IP5x) and the 3.6 mm thick safety glass, the screen is very durable and insensitive to shocks and scratches. So it's a good choice for high-use environments such as meeting rooms, retail, interactive POS or even hotel reception. You can operate the touch display with your fingers and a passive stylus. Capacitive touch technology (or PCAP technology as it is also known) is much better and higher quality than the often used infrared technology, especially in digital signage.

The Sharp/NEC M431 PCAP has an IPS panel. This has the advantage that your content can still be recognised very well even if you look at the display from the side. IPS displays are particularly known for their wide viewing angles and natural, precise colours. In combination with the ultra-high 4K resolution with 3840 x 2160 pixels, your advertising content, presentations or video clips are displayed much better and closer to reality. The M431 PCAP has a brightness of 500 cd/m², which is perfectly adequate for bright locations with indirect sunlight. The contrast ratio of 8000:1 is an extremely convincing value for a display that shines both with digital signage content and with classic office applications. This guarantees razor-sharp images with strong, vibrant colours. Even if you have planned for a location with difficult lighting conditions, your content can still be displayed excellently.

With the M431 PCAP touch display, you can realise various installations. In addition to the common landscape and portrait formats, the display can also be used as a touch table. You can literally sit down at a table and work on ideas together. This way, everyone can access and edit data together. Other examples of use would be a trade fair stand where product demonstrations are presented interactively to the customer or a showroom where customers can have their products demonstrated interactively directly on site. Another highlight of the Sharp/NEC M431 PCAP is the possibility of face-up mounting, i.e. you can also install the display horizontally in a table. Only very few displays on the market have this option. Normally, these have a maximum tilt angle of up to 15°. With the M431 PCAP, you bring dynamism and interaction into every meeting.

With the integrated media player, uncomplicated video playback is also possible. Simply connect your USB stick with the desired content via the USB 2.0 port. The M431 PCAP is equipped with an Intel® SDM slot standard. This is suitable for accommodating Intel® Smart Display modules in Large and Small format up to 66 W. This provides a scalable display for your screen and allows for quick and cost-effective upgrades when you need to add new features. In addition to this, you can also use a Raspberry Pi Compute Module: It integrates seamlessly with the M431 PCAP and boosts display performance for any visualisation. In addition to these options, you also have a variety of connections at your disposal: 1x DisplayPort (HDCP), 2x HDMI (HDCP), a LAN connection as well as the RS232 connection for easy input signal control. For a wireless connection, an optional WiFi dongle can be purchased. This gives you the option of connecting your devices wirelessly to the interactive display. Two 10-watt speakers are already included, so you can also save yourself the use of external speakers if this power is sufficient for your purposes.
