The Sharp/NEC MultiSync E558 display is just the thing if you are looking for a cost-efficient but also reliable large format display. The E558 display impresses with its 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and 350 cd/m² brightness, allowing you to use the display indoors without direct sunlight. The integrated USB MediaPlayer can easily play your video, audio or image files from a USB stick - quickly and completely uncomplicated! You get a great variety of connections to integrate your devices. The focus with the E-series from Sharp/NEC really is on user-friendly operability. And so that you can get started right away, input signals are automatically detected by simply switching between the different HDMI sources. Simple yet highly efficient, the E558 uses LED backlighting for low power consumption and longer life. This is also noticeable on your electricity bill at the end of the month, which is why the Sharp/NEC E558 lowers your installation and running costs.
The Sharp/NEC MultiSync E558 has a sleek design that integrates attractively into any environment. Too often, due to cost or lack of knowledge, a conventional television set for home use is still used in corporate environments. But this is not what these sets are designed for. The E-series is therefore ideal if you're on a budget but would still like to have some features available. For example, use the E558 display as a large digital billboard for advertising purposes in your fashion shop, as a menu board in your restaurant or fast food outlet, or as a solution for the meeting room.
As already mentioned, the E558 Display has an integrated MediaPlayer. This allows your digital signage content to be played back in Ultra HD quality and a wide dynamic range (HDR) directly from a USB stick (via USB 2.0 connection) without the need for additional devices. No annoying additional cables or digital signage software programmes. It's easy and saves time and money. Immediately after installation, your content is automatically played at the desired times with the help of the autostart scheduler. You can also protect the display with an infrared lock that disables the infrared remote control to prevent unauthorised access to the display.
As far as connections are concerned, three HDMI 2.0 connections and a VGA connection are available. Input signals, for example, can be detected automatically by simply switching between different HDMI sources and the makes your work easier. So you can start working in the meeting room immediately. Via the LAN connection, any digital device can be controlled over the network. If you want to connect external IoT devices such as Raspberry Pi, you can use the existing USB-C port and connect the device with a USB-C cable. Two 10-watt downfire stereo speakers are available for the necessary sound. However, you can also supplement your sound system with external speakers with more power.
Facility managers also benefit from the Sharp/NEC MultiSync E558 display, because thanks to integrated LAN and the NaViSet Administrator 2 software tool, the display can be controlled via the network. All connected NEC devices can be managed from a central location. Change settings or perform operations on the units, such as power on/off, change input signal, mute, etc., or check settings and/or parameters on a regular basis. Let's move on to the installation of the Sharp/NEC E558. Although it can only be mounted in landscape mode, this is perfectly adequate for training and meeting rooms. For mounting, you can use the VESA standard 400 x 200 mm and the weight of 16.8 kg as a guide. You can either install the display directly on the wall with the help of a wall mount or use a stand, trolley or height-adjustable mount.
