With the included Surface Hub Smart Camera and Surface Hub Pen, the Microsoft Surface Hub 3 is instantly ready for the next video conference. The Microsoft Surface Hub 3 can be adapted to your spatial and technical circumstances through flexible, modular accessories. With the Microsoft Surface Hub 3, the long-awaited rotation feature is available, allowing you to use the 50-inch interactive touchscreen in both portrait and landscape mode.
Welcome to the Teams Rooms family: Surface Hub 3
With the Surface Hub 3, Microsoft expands the Teams Rooms family with an all-in-one Teams Rooms board that runs Teams Rooms on Windows. This means that your team can now effortlessly move from one room to another with a consistent experience across all meeting rooms, whether the room is equipped with the Surface Hub 3's streamlined touch-first interface or the traditional console-based Teams Rooms setup. This will include additional video layouts, chat channel modes and management features for both users and administrators. Then Copilot will also make its entrance. Microsoft Copilot will become your daily AI companion, with privacy and data security at the forefront, making your daily work much easier. The new Team Rooms on Windows naturally also supports team functions such as Front Row for video conferences. This means that the Surface Hub 3 is now also suitable for hybrid meetings and should no longer be missing from any meeting or conference room.
Upgrade your Microsoft Surface Hub 2S
You already have a Hub 2S in your meeting room, the new features of the Surface Hub 3 excite you and you want to upgrade the Surface Hub 2S to the Hub 3? No problem! For existing Hub 2S devices, there will be the option to upgrade, which is really great news. So an existing Surface Hub 2S device can easily be upgraded to a Hub 3. For this, Microsoft will provide a so-called Computer Catridge (called Surface Hub 3 Business Package by Microsoft) from December 2023. The Hub 3 Business Package VXN-00004 is simply exchanged for the existing Catridge in the Hub 2S. The replacement does not require any specialist knowledge and can easily be carried out by non-professionals themselves. Simply disconnect all cables and loosen the locking screw. Pull out the old catridge and insert the new one. Now just tighten the locking screw, plug the cables back in and restart the Surface Hub 2S. Rotation function with flipchart character
The Microsoft Surface Hub 3 has the basic functions of the Surface Hub 2S. What is completely new is that the Hub can finally be rotated. This has advantages: Your counterpart now faces you at eye level via teams, because you gain 9 cm in height, for camera and display content. Graphics & documents can now also be presented and edited in portrait format and you get flipchart character. Physically rotate the 50-inch Surface Hub 3 between portrait and landscape at any time to customise the screen layout to your needs, whether for a natural whiteboard session or a more personal one-on-one meeting.
Other new features on the Microsoft Surface Hub 3 include
Mobility and versatility: The 50-inch Surface Hub 3 can be installed on an optional trolley, such as one from Steelcase, for complete mobility and versatility.
Premium design: The Microsoft Surface Hub 3 makes your meetings an experience with clear audio and picture quality. The high-resolution 4K PixelSense display features an anti-glare coating that makes content visible in all lighting conditions.
Smart Audio: The 50-inch Surface Hub 3 features dual full-band 8-element microphone arrays and speaker pairs with 3-way stereo speakers consisting of 6 midrange drivers and 2 tweeters on the front and 1 woofer on the rear. Smart AV optimises sound for the best stereo experience in portrait and landscape modes.
Seamless integration: The Surface Hub 3 can connect with Microsoft Teams Rooms certified peripherals in larger conference rooms. This opens up a world of possibilities for different meeting spaces, from traditional setups to large classrooms, with external microphones, speakers, cameras and more.
Enhanced collaboration: The 50-inch Surface Hub 3 supports active drawing with up to two Surface Hub or Surface Slim pens and features 20 multitouch points with in-cell touch technology for immersive collaboration on the device. Integrated palm suppression provides a natural interaction experience.
Faster performance: With a 60 percent increase in CPU performance and a 160 percent increase in GPU graphics performance over the previous generation, Surface Hub 3 customers benefit from a more powerful system that is also ready for future software innovations. With these features and more, Surface Hub 3 revolutionises meetings and offers a versatile and comprehensive solution for modern workplaces.
AI-powered meetings and brainstorming: With Surface Hub 3, customers can leverage AI more than ever to enhance hybrid meetings and collaboration sessions. For example, with Cloud IntelliFrame*, remote participants can see personal Surface Hub users more clearly through an intelligent video feed that divides participants into individual boxes and helps avoid distractions. Video segmentation with a unified background in Front Row uses AI to promote inclusion by removing backgrounds and adjusting video sizes so remote participants are literally on the same level with each other.* Going forward, Surface Hub 3 will take brainstorming to a new level - a new level with AI-powered features from Microsoft Copilot. For customers who continue to run Windows 10 Team Edition on their Surface Hub 2S devices, support for this operating system will continue until 14 October 2025.
