The
Occupancy detection with two technologies
With the Crestron CEN-ODT-C-POE, a combination of ultrasonic (US) and passive infrared (PIR) sensor technologies achieves consistent and reliable occupancy detection. The ultrasonic motion detection is very sensitive to small movements over a wide area, while the passive infrared sensor technology provides excellent immunity to false triggers caused by vibrations, inanimate objects or movement in an adjacent corridor.
Ultrasonic motion detection can be enabled for side A, side B or both sides of the Crestron occupancy sensor to avoid false occupancy readings when the sensor is pointed at a corridor or door . The CEN-ODT-C-POE provides an independent sensitivity setting for each sensor type for optimal performance in each room.
Crestron XiO Cloud™ service
The CEN-ODT-C-POE occupancy sensor is compatible with Crestron's
XiO Cloud™ service: which is an Internet of Things (IoT)-based platform that remotely controls, monitors and manages Crestron devices in the enterprise. The Crestron XiO Cloud

Walk-through mode
With the Crestron CEN-ODT-C-POE occupancy sensor, walk-through mode prevents lights from staying on for extended periods of time when someone quickly enters and exits a room . The sensor enters walk-through mode when it detects a presence for less than 90 seconds . When passage mode is activated, the sensor reports after 60 seconds that the room is free.
Grace Occupancy Function
When the light is turned off in a room that is programmed to vacancy-only mode , a 15-second grace period begins during which the room light can be turned back on by simply waving your hand to trigger the sensor.
Versatile Installation
The Crestron CEN-ODT-C-POE achieves a discreet, nearly invisible appearance when installed on a typical drywall or drop ceiling. For quick and easy installation in a standard 4-inch enclosure or similar, the included cut-out template can be used.
Power supply via Ethernet
The Crestron CEN-ODT-C-POE occupancy sensor receives its operating power via LAN cabling from a PoE power source (PWE-4803RU, CEN-SW-POE-5 or CEN-SWPOE-16 are optional) using PoE technology (802.3af).
