The AUDAC KYRA6 column speaker is the product of research into phased array acoustics. The selection of the highest quality materials, including 2-inch drivers with aluminium cones, guarantee exceptional detail and clarity for music and speech, which is rather unusual for any type of column speaker available on the market. This makes the KYRA6 speaker perfect for a variety of applications in acoustically challenging environments such as those commonly found in churches, auditoriums, presentation and meeting rooms, where good acoustics and intelligibility of music and speech are of paramount importance.
The installed loudspeakers are set into an elegant housing made of aluminium materials. To protect the diaphragms, a finely perforated grille is mounted above them. A supplied mounting bracket with minimal wall clearance allows the speakers to be swivelled and folded down for perfect directional control. The renewed bracket ensures that the distance from the wall mounting surface to the front of the speaker is only 147 mm, which is 22 mm less than the previous version, allowing the column speaker to blend even more aesthetically into its surroundings.
The KYRA6 design column speaker features high-quality 6 x 2" aluminium cone full-range drivers that deliver exceptional clarity and detailed sound. The total continuous power handling reaches 60 watts and the dispersion of 174° x 28° (-6 dB at 1 kHz - 4 kHz) The dispersion values given are the average beamwidth within the frequency range of 1 kHz - 4 kHz (-6 dB - 1/3 oct.), which is crucial for speech intelligibility in the main application area of these speakers. makes it the perfect solution for acoustically difficult venues as it reduces echoes and microphone feedback, optimising speech intelligibility in reverberant rooms.
A multi-tap line transformer allows connection to 70V/100V sound reinforcement systems with different power taps for 20W, 10W and 5W and/or low impedance systems.
