The ViewSonic LS832WU is an advanced WUXGA ultra-short distance laser projector with 5,000 ANSI lumens. The iiyama LS832WU is part of ViewSonic's Luminous Superior series, ideal for use in commercial and educational environments, as well as a digital signage solution in museums, shop windows, shopping centres and airports. Thanks to the ultra-short distance ratio of 0.25, you get a 100-inch screen diagonal from only 28 cm away, which can be extended up to 170 inches. Compared to a commercial display, this results in a lower cost per inch. The 2nd generation laser phosphor technology ensures consistent high brightness with a lifetime of up to 30,000 hours. The ViewSonic LS832WU laser projector also offers flexible installation options thanks to keystone correction and 4-corner image adjustment. You can manage multiple devices centrally via LAN control. In addition, the ViewSonic LS832WU ultra-short throw projector is compatible with Crestron, AMX, Extron and PJ Link AV control systems.
Projection ratio without shadows
The LS832WU laser projector gives you an ultra-short projection ratio of just 0.25, making projection equivalent to a 100-inch screen at a distance of just 28 cm. The image size can even be extended up to 170 inches. An image of this size would be significantly more expensive with a display, which is why this short-throw projector has a much more favourable "price-per-inch" ratio, making it more cost-effective for you. Its compact size and light weight of only 5.8 kg also reduces transport costs and makes installation easier.
2nd generation laser phosphor technology
Also the LS832WU ultra-short throw projector has View Sonic's latest 2nd generation laser phosphor technology. With this long-lasting and therefore environmentally friendly technology, you get virtually maintenance-free use with a lower total cost of ownership. With a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, it delivers reliable long-term performance without brightness degradation over time. The LS832WU's lamp-free design saves you the environmentally harmful mercury in light bulbs, the hassle of changing lamps and the cost. This results in 20% more brightness, it is 8% more heat resistant and has a smaller design (20% smaller than a lamp projector).
Vibrant colours thanks to SuperColorTM technology
ViewSonic's proprietary SuperColorTM technology displays a wide range of colours. This gives you, the user, true-to-life colour in both bright and dark environments without sacrificing picture quality. With an exclusive colour wheel and dynamic lamp control, you are guaranteed excellent colour reproduction and detail. This technology gives you a better colour gamut than conventional projectors in the same class. Accurate colour reproduction is crucial when you're showing graphics and outstanding video material in class, for example. In addition, high quality colour performance renders text optimally, making meetings work perfectly with the short-throw projector displaying your content. SuperColorTM technology also makes the eyes of your viewers, staff or students less likely to tire, and is one reason why eye-pleasing quality is a consideration when buying a new projector. With a higher resolution than Full HD, the WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels offers a wider viewing area for construction graphics, Excel spreadsheets or PowerPoint presentations, making it perfect for your everyday business use. The outstanding picture experience is complemented by the ultra-high contrast of 3,000,000:1 and brightness of 5000 ANSI lumens, in any environment.
Keystone correction and 4-corner adjustment
The LS832WU projector gives you both vertical and horizontal keystone correction of +/- 10° each. Combined with the LS832WU's 4-corner adjustment function, you can easily adjust skewed or distorted images. This gives you the flexibility to adapt to new spatial conditions in classrooms, conference rooms or museums. For example, many museums are open seven days a week into the evening, so the LS832WU's 24/7 runtime sharing is perfect. With an advanced cooling design, you can run the projector around the clock without sacrificing quality or performance.
Manage and control
Moving on to network management, the LS832WU projector is compatible with Crestron, AMX, PJ Link and Extron. This allows you to monitor and also control your projector via LAN connection with the respective network management systems. What's more, you don't need to worry about outdated software: ViewSonic offers you projector software updates that are available online. You update your software conveniently via your laptop and the USB connection.
Auto-On and Auto-Off function
If you want to do without any kind of remote control, there is also the Auto-On function: if Auto-On is activated, the projector is switched on automatically as soon as a VGA or HDMI cable is connected and the signal is detected. However, those who prefer to work with a remote control need not be disappointed. ViewSonic has provided a solution here too: there is an infrared (IR) remote control sensor on the front and back of the projector. All you have to do is point the remote control at the IR sensor for it to work normally.
Controls and connections
With an HDMI dongle, you can stream 4K content from laptops or mobile devices to the projector - especially useful for presentations. The LS832WU has two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a VGA port that lets you connect your computer, and an RJ45 LAN port. Via the VGA output, you can easily loop the image through to a monitor or display and thus also provide a live image in the foyer of a conference room, for example. Via the RS232 port, the LS832WU can also be integrated into existing room control solutions at any time. The projector also has a USB type A connection for power supply.
Quiet operation
For many people, one of the most important criteria for or against buying a projector is the noise level during presentations, so we would also like to address this issue. ViewSonic has combined various technologies to reduce the noise level to 28dB (Eco mode). In standard mode, the projector's noise level is 34dB, which is a great value for a projector with 5000 Ansi lumens.
One important question you may still be asking yourself: Is it worthwhile for you to operate this projector at all? Yes! Because first of all, thanks to its long life of 20,000 hours, the LS832WU is a reliable solution in the long term, without the brightness diminishing over time. In addition, the laser projector's energy efficiency also makes it a cost-effective solution for you: the energy-saving mode allows you to extend the life of the projector and minimise energy consumption. This is because it automatically switches to SuperEco mode in power-saving mode if no input signal is detected for 5 minutes. Also on. The lamp-free laser light projection source is more environmentally friendly, contributes to a mercury-free environment and also promotes sustainable development. the projector has a sleep timer where the unit automatically turns off after a set period of time. You can adjust the settings to suit your needs.
