The free-standing 55-inch multi-touch display with 10-point touch function is ideal for use in the hotel, catering and retail sectors - even in high-traffic areas. Thanks to the scratch-resistant tempered glass pane, even difficult environmental conditions pose no problem and you can enjoy the interactive ePoster for a long time. Hidden inside the slim stele is a powerful quad-core media player with Android 8 operating system and 16 GB of storage space, allowing you to save your signage content quickly and easily on the player. An additional media player or mini PC can be accommodated on the back of the stele, which you can secure with a lockable door . There are also two integrated speakers, which combine outstanding screen performance with stereo sound - for an impressive multimedia experience. As already mentioned, the EP5542T has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and displays your advertising content in brilliant UHD quality. The 4K resolution offers you the advantage that images can be displayed in even greater detail and finer detail. In addition, visitors can see a significantly better image, even at a short distance, which could never be realised compared to Full HD resolutions. In addition, there is a brightness of 450 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1300:1, for an excellent image experience. A special feature of the ViewSonic EP5542T is the built-in blue light filter: the display has been enhanced with customisable settings that protect the eyes from the effects of blue light. You and your customers are still guaranteed the highest colour quality and the eyes are protected.

The interactive ePoster can be operated and used entirely via the touch function. As with its predecessor model, ViewSonic continues to use high-resolution infrared technology to ensure convenient interaction. Long queues in restaurants during busy periods are no longer a problem with a touch display: Customers can order and pay by hand at self-service stations, for example, and while they are waiting you can display promotional content such as special offers to attract customers' attention. Displaying e-catalogues in clothing shops or using the ePoster as an information and signposting kiosk are further examples of the hundreds of thousands of other possibilities you have with such a digital signage display.

Using an RS232 or RJ45 connection between a computer and the digital billboard, users can manage OSD settings such as on/off, display signal source or sound and other general settings. The internal scheduler allows you to set the time and date so that your multimedia files run smoothly and on time. Take a kiosk or café, for example: in the morning from 7 a.m. you show your coffee selection, which customers receive together with a muffin, at noon there is a sandwich for a small price and in the evening from 5.30 p.m. customers can choose from various after-work sandwiches. And then the ePoster should switch off punctually at 8pm. All this is possible with the EP5542T. You can also easily display your personalised photos, music or even 4K videos directly on the screen via the USB port. Simply plug in your USB storage device and you're ready to go. Further connections can also be found on the back of the stele, which are located behind a lockable door. This means that not just anyone can access the connections to simply pull the plug. Behind the lockable flap you will find three HDMI 2.0 connections, a VGA connection, a DisplayPort 1.2 connection, 3 USB 2.0 type A and an RS232C connection. The USB type B ports already mentioned and the RJ45 are located at the bottom of the stele. You can also replace the LAN connection with an optional WiFi module at any time to create a wireless connection. No matter which Internet connection you choose, you and your users can conveniently search online and view media files such as images and videos directly on the display without having to connect to another computer device.

Let's move on to the compatibility of the EP5542T with ProAV control systems: This new ePoster from ViewSonic also allows integration with ProAV control systems such as Crestron, AMX, Extron and Control4 , enabling the IT department to remotely manage and configure settings for additional display devices via the LAN connection. A new feature of the EP5542T is that it is also compatible with SureMDM and Revel Digital. This gives you greater freedom when using the touch display.

We see the integrated media player and two speakers as a major plus point: you don't need any additional devices and are therefore always flexible in terms of use and orientation. And if you do need additional storage space and more power, you can install your own additional media player at the back.
