The SONY VPL-FHZ80/B projector is a small, lightweight and powerful WUXGA 3LCD laser projector with 6000 lumen brightness for large, bright rooms. Featuring the latest innovations from Sony, the Sony VPL-FHZ80/B laser projector delivers consistently bright and colourful images. With versatile installation options and reduced maintenance requirements, they are ideal for projection in medium-sized businesses, educational institutions and public facilities. The VPL-FHZ80/B offers native support for 4K60P input signals to display images that are very close to 4K resolution. In addition, your images appear sharper and deeper thanks to the optimised Reality Creation processing technology. With the help of intelligent settings and the built-in ambient light sensor, you get an improved viewing experience. The normal volume of 36dB is quiet enough for a projector with this light output to hold professional meetings and discussions. With the Sony VPL-FHZ80/B laser projector, you get perfect alignment: thanks to the 1.6x zoom and the vertical and horizontal lens shift, you are always flexible. The laser projector from SONY also has an HDBaseT connection, giving you a cost-effective way of transmitting high-resolution video and audio files via a single cable.
Consistently high brightness thanks to 3LCD laser technologyThe
Sony VPL-FHZ80/B projector is equipped with 3LCD laser phosphor technology. This means that the laser LCD unit is completely encapsulated, making lamp replacement unnecessary. The 3LCD technology uses three separate LCD panels for the colours red, green and blue, resulting in vivid and realistic colours without the rainbow effect often found in DLP projectors. In addition, the VPL-FHZ80/B's laser light source delivers consistently high brightness throughout the life of the projector. SONY specifies a minimum service life of 20,000 hours for the laser unit, so you don't need to worry about your investment in the long term. If the projector were to run around the clock every day, 24/7, 365 days a year, without a break, you would have a guaranteed service life of over 2 years on this projector. Laser output and cooling are automatically adjusted by an optimisation algorithm depending on the frequency of use, which extends the service life of the projector. A real advantage over classic lamp projectors. You no longer have to schedule maintenance times, save on operating costs and protect your investment in the long term.
Clearer, sharper images with Reality CreationThe
Reality Creation function of the VPL-FHZ80/B laser projector is Sony's unique real-time signal processing technology that improves image sharpness. This is particularly beneficial when using the projector with a lower resolution image source. Sony has spent more than 10 years filling the image pattern database with thousands of distinctive shapes, textures and patterns. Sophisticated re-pixel mapping then optimises individual areas of the low-resolution image in real time. This gives you even more detailed and realistic images. Within an image, high-frequency areas are also sharpened more than low- and medium-frequency areas, giving your images even more depth. With 4K signals, the sharpness of the high-frequency areas is even greater, ensuring image reproduction with almost realistic 4K image quality. Even with text, numbers and diagrams, you get sharper lines with the Reality Creation function.
The colour performance of the projector is guaranteed by the brightness of 6000 lumens, in any environment. In the centre of the lens, the brightness is even up to 6500 lumens. With the VPL-FHZ80/B, you can experience incredibly detailed colours and colour gradients in conference rooms, larger classrooms and simulation environments. As mentioned above, the VPL-FHZ80/B supports 4K 60P input signals, making it easy for you to create configurations with multiple lower-level flat screens. You can split the same 4K signal to control all your display devices without conversion. Thanks to a powerful image scaler, even 4K input signals are converted to WUXGA resolution, which almost corresponds to the image quality of 4K.
The integrated Bright View technology ensures clearly visible images at all times, even in bright environments. The VPL-FHZ80/B projector has a WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels in 16:10 widescreen format. With a higher resolution than Full HD, WUXGA offers a wider viewing area for engineering graphics, Excel spreadsheets or PowerPoint presentations and is therefore perfect for your everyday business or school work. In addition to 16:10 and 16:9 aspect ratios, the VPL-FHZ80/B also supports 21:9 aspect ratio with 2560 x 1080 signal input, allowing you to project hybrid meetings in ultra-wide angle onto larger screens, optimising the visual presence of remote participants. The Ambiance function also improves the brightness, colour and resolution in hybrid meetings and adjusts these to the brightness in the conference room. This means that facial expressions and gestures of remote participants are recognised even better, even when displaying shared content.
Flexible installation and customisation
optionsThe SONY projector offers both vertical (+/-30°) and horizontal (+/-30°
) keystone correction.However, keystone correction always has an impact on image quality and therefore lens shift correction should always be favoured where possible. With lens shift correction, the lens is shifted directly and the image can be perfectly adapted to the screen without impairing the image quality. The VPL-FHZ80/B WUXGA projector from SONY has a manual horizontal lens shift of ±32% and a vertical lens shift of -5 to +70%. With a projection ratio of 1.39 - 2.23:1, you are perfectly prepared for flexible installation in larger meeting rooms or classrooms and do not have to work 100% cleanly during installation.
Variety of connections with the VPL-FHZ80/B
The SONY VPL-FHZ80/B does not require any additional devices to realise long distances between computer and projector via cable. The built-in HDBaseT receiver allows you to transmit uncompressed, high-resolution audio and video over long distances at low cost. To do this, simply connect the projector with a CAT cable (CAT5e or higher). The HDBaseT receiver of the VPL-FHZ80/B is compatible with any certified HDBaseT transmitter. For example, you can use it to connect several projectors to each other across several rooms, provided you use an HDBaseT distributor. Especially in large rooms, halls or at events, HDBaseT makes installation much easier and also reduces installation costs. The VPL-FHZ80/B has an HDMI input (with HDCP), a USB type A (for firmware update), a type A (for power supply), as well as a VGA input, a DVI-D 24-pin and the HDBaseT connection already mentioned. A mini D-sub 15-pin (female) and a : DVI-D 24-pin are available for the outputs. You can connect additional speakers or a microphone to the projector via the audio input and output (3.5 mm).
