Deep black, anti-glare coating & high haze level for an optimal picture
The Sony FW-98BZ53L has been equipped with Deep Black Non-Glare Coating technology, which combines anti-glare and low-reflection technologies. A special coating is applied to the surface of the panel. As a result, incident light bounces off both the coating and the underlying panel surface. The interference between the reflected light rays reduces the perceived reflection for you as the viewer and increases the contrast. This gives you dynamic images with lifelike and natural colours and details. On the subject of anti-glare: the surface of the FW-98BZ53L display has a coating with microscopic irregularities. Incident light is thus reflected diffusely in all directions, creating a kind of whitish blur that is less perceptible to the viewer than sharply reflected light. Harsh room lighting can mean grey, washed-out images in retail shops and shopping malls, corporate lobbies, meeting rooms and classrooms. With the FW-98BZ53L, however, you'll wow every viewer with vibrant, high-contrast 4K HDR images with rich, true-to-life colours and deep, rich blacks. The Sony FW-98BZ53L also has a very high haze level: The haze level is the optical parameter for describing the scattering behaviour of light from a material. With conventional displays, a maximum value of 44% is usually achieved here. Sony is making a small leap forward here and even achieves a haze value of 47% with the FW-98BZ53L.

The XR™ Cognitive Processor can also access vast amounts of image data, restoring lost detail and texture in upscaled image sources. XR Contrast Booster technology makes bright areas brighter and dark areas darker, adding depth to scenes (without losing detail in highlights and shadows). The Cognitive Processor XR™ also includes X-Motion Clarity: it ensures a smoother, more natural reproduction of fast-moving images on the screen. On some displays, sports and fast-action scenes often appear to be blurred. X-Motion ClarityTM technology ensures that everything remains smooth, bright and clear. Each "blink" is individually controlled and its duration optimised, while brightness is increased when needed so you don't miss a thing. The Sony FW-98BZ53L has Android TV: this is an operating system that was specially developed for smart TVs and displays. It offers a user-friendly interface and a wide range of functions and apps to enhance your entertainment experience. You have seamless integration of Google services, such as Google Meet , which allows you to use the display for video conferencing with an optional compatible camera. Combine graphics, text, video and live web content to create attractive content in minutes, without the need for additional hardware such as a media player, PC or set-top box, or specialised training. The easy-to-use apps make it simple to share content from PCs and tablets. The Sony FW-98BZ53L includes built-in BRAVIA Signage Free software (BSF), which automatically displays HTML content, videos and photos when a USB stick is inserted into the BRAVIA.
Wireless screen mirroring and special settings for professional use
Stream your content wirelessly with built-in support for Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast and utilise the included Wi-Fi connection. The FW-98BZ53L can also be controlled in a variety of ways: To do this, use either an IP network (RJ45 and WiFi) or the RS-232C connection to schedule on/off times, disable input and remote control functions, remove labels and lock buttons to prevent tampering when the screen is used in public spaces. Easily customise display settings, save them and copy them from display to display using a USB stick. Four HDMI ports (HDCP 2.3), a composite video input and two USB ports are available for connecting external source devices. Four down-firing speakers, each with 10 watts of power, have been installed for the right sound. You can also connect external headphones. All connections - including audio, video, network, control and USB - are located on the side of the display for easy installation.
