Due to their immunity to electromagnetic influences, fibre optic cables generally allow longer cable lengths than pure copper cables. The AV stream of an HDMI signal, for example, can be converted into an optical signal, transmitted and converted back to HDMI on the display side. However, due to the HDMI specification itself, some signals, such as the power supply for the converter chipsets as well as DDC for the EDID handshake and CEC, can only be transported via copper cable. For this reason, the Sonero X-AOC210 AOC HDMI cables rely on a hybrid transmission of optical fibre and copper in combination, thus enabling cable lengths of up to 50 metres. From the outside, the hybrid cable looks like a conventional HDMI cable and of course also functions according to the Plug&Play principle.
The 30.0 metre long Sonero X-AOC210-300 is a 4K HDMI 2.0b AOC hybrid cable with an outer diameter of 4.8 mm. Due to its intelligent design, it is ideally suited for AV transmissions with up to 18Gbps. The Sonero cable has full EMI protection due to the hybrid cable construction. The connectors at both ends of the cable are made of full metal plugs and have gold-plated contacts. The hybrid construction combines optical fibres for AV transmission and copper wires for power (HDMI 5V) and data (such as HPD, CEC). This means that the X-AOC210-300 is also optimally protected against electromagnetic interference. With this plug-and-play capable cable, you opt for perfect transmission quality thanks to the low attenuation. It is powered directly via HDMI and requires no extra power supply.
Long distances
With the cables of the Sonero X-AOC210 series, HDMI 2.0b signals can be optimally transmitted over long distances of up to 50 metres. This is ensured by the hybrid construction of glass fibres and copper cables. Since the transmission via glass fibre is free of electromagnetic influences, the cables can also be used in complex environments without any problems. A high degree of shielding additionally protects the cable - for example against interference from mobile phones and radio sources.
Quality and bandwidth
The Sonero X-AOC210 cables enable a resolution of up to 4K / UltraHD and up to 60Hz incl. HDR as well as all HDMI 2.0b functions, i.e. you can transmit AV streams with up to 18 Gbps with these cables, for example. An external power supply is not necessary, because the power transmission of 5V takes place via HDMI. For this purpose, the connectors of the X-AOC210 cables contain converter chipsets with a low current requirement of max. 100mA. The Sonero X-AOC210 cables support all HDMI features up to HDMI version 2.0b, HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEAC / HEC), Audio Return Channel (ARC / eARC), Consumer Electronic Control (CEC), 3D video support, bitstream audio up to Dolby TrueHD / DTS-HD Master Audio, HDR support (HDR10, DolbyVision, etc.), HLG support, EDID and much more.
Cables and use
The use of Sonero X-AOC210 cables is also recommended due to the small outer diameter and the associated tight bending radii. Up to a length of 15 m, the cables have an outer D of 4.5 mm and a dynamic bending radius of at least 90 mm. From 20 m length, the outer D is 4.8 mm and the dynamic bending radius is at least 96 mm. Due to the flexible outer jacket made of PVC and the bending radii that are possible as a result, you can easily lay these HDMI hybrid cables, which is mainly optimal when using them in narrow environments, such as the back of a rack. The optical chipset built into the connectors also ensures full HDMI signal integrity. The X-AOC210 series cables operate on a 'plug and play' principle, ensuring practical and easy use and allowing them to be used in the same way as conventional HDMI cables. The X-AOC210 cables are unidirectional (directional). To prevent them from being connected the wrong way round, both plugs are clearly marked at the ends.
