Let's start with the new features of the Samsung QB43B from the new QBB series: the professional display can now also be used for video conferences. You can connect with your colleagues and start team meetings via the video call application. The QB43B has built-in video conferencing solutions that support the most popular web conferencing apps. You can install the video call app via a firmware update (from quarter 2/2022). The only thing you then need in addition to the Samsung QB43B is a video conferencing camera*, which you can integrate via the USB port. This turns the next team meeting or brainstorming session into an active exchange of information and ideas: Decisions can be made faster, as even employees in the home office or in the Spanish branch office in Barcelona can be included.

In addition, the Samsung QB43B offers the SmartView+ function and thus the possibility to easily connect mobile devices to the display (Windows, Android and iOS are supported; Mobile OS will be available from the firmware update in Q2 2022) - ideal for bring-your-own-devices meetings. Interesting for medical professionals among you: In addition, there is the DICOM mode, which is designed for the medical field. Medical teams can simulate medical images such as X-rays with the DICOM simulation mode and thus meet the full greyscale standards of DICOM. In doing so, this mode is ideal for use in research and teaching, where, for example, it is important to make judgements based on X-ray images. A short digression for all those who had nothing to do with DICOM: Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) is a worldwide open standard for storing and exchanging medical image data. For the projection of medical images, DICOM specification 14 on greyscale behaviour plays the decisive role. With normal devices, fine details in the greyscales are lost due to the overly high-contrast display. This is prevented in the DICOM specification by defining the greyscale behaviour with the help of a gamma curve. Now let's move on to the picture quality features of the Samsung QB43B: The Samsung QB43B has an ultra-high resolution display with 3840 x 2160 pixels to be able to play back high-quality digital signage content or 4K videos. Samsung has also integrated Dynamic Crystal Color technology into this QBB series, which gives you a wider colour spectrum and more realistic images. You get crystal clear, lifelike colours with 64 times more hues than conventional UHD displays. In addition, subtle differences are rendered with 10-bit processing for near flawless colour expression, ensuring your content is lifelike. In addition, there is also HDR compatibility - the result: the display reproduces standard content in HDR quality with sharp contrasts and rich colours.

You don't always have content in 4K quality, that's quite clear. So if you "only" have Full HD images, presentations and videos available, Samsung's Intelligent Picture Quality technology will lend you a hand and increase the quality of your content all by itself. UHD Intelligent Upscaling technology, powered by Samsung's Quantum Processor 4K, upscales lower resolution video to UHD levels and then provides professional picture quality. Great news regarding the calibration of the Samsung QB43B: With the displays of the QBB series, you can calibrate the display using the Samsung mobile app. This allows you to make adjustments to get the best picture quality. Basically, you get every display with standardised settings. However, these are often neither optimal nor adapted to your environment (lighting conditions) or your preferences. To ensure that the content fits your requirements and wishes, you can now easily adjust the display professionally yourself and without expensive Spyder hardware. Basic mode offers a quick and easy way to calibrate the screens within 30 seconds, while Professional mode optimises the screens for flawless image quality in about 10 minutes. So if the display of colours bothers you, for example, you find the colour tone too warm or cold, you can make your desired adjustments here. Samsung thereby guarantees you complete brand consistency on any display in any location. With Samsung's mobile app, Smart Calibration ensures that every display is correctly calibrated, displaying brand logos and other collateral in the exact colours required.

But the Samsung QB43B also impresses with its external values: it has a slim frame and a symmetrical design, enabling seamless integration into any environment. You can either install the display directly on the wall using a wall bracket or use a stand, trolley or height-adjustable bracket.
