The Samsung OM55N-S display is actually a professional shop window display with 4000 cd/m² light brightness, a high contrast of 6000:1 and a 24/7 runtime release. To enable you to use this display outdoors, the display is simply inserted into the ScreenOut Eco Kiosk L professional protective housing from Hagor. Thanks to the integrated fan and heater, the temperature of the stele and the display is permanently monitored and controlled. The housing of the Outdoor Stele is made of hard-wearing sheet steel and is equipped with 6.4mm laminated safety glass (VGS), which protects the Samsung screen inside. However, not only the glass, but the entire kiosk is protected against vandalism. Security is a top priority at all times in the outdoor area. In addition, the Outdoor Stele has an IP certification level of IP65 (front side) and an IP54 certification on the back. This effectively prevents moisture, dust, water or insects from entering the interior of the Hagor ScreenOut Eco Kiosk L. The pedestal is designed for permanent installation by means of a foundation. 2. Solution: External devices

There is enough space in the housing of the Hagor Screen Out Eco Kiosk L for a mini PC or a set-top box. This means that you could, for example, place an Intel NUC PC in the housing and store your content on it and display it on the Samsung OM55N display via HDMI. You could also use so-called media players in the same way at any time. If you do not want to transfer your content to the display via LAN cable, but via WLAN, you must purchase the optional WLAN antennas (item number 2343819) from Hagor. Thanks to the heating and cooling integrated into the stele, this equipment is also protected from the German weather conditions in the best possible way.

Why do we use a Samsung window display and not the Samsung outdoor display for this Hagor Stele?

Because it would be too much of a good thing and the OM55N-S even offers some advantages. The OH55N can be mounted outdoors, completely without a protective housing. So in this case you would be paying for protection, but you wouldn't need it with this outdoor stele. Here, the kiosk protects the display from damage and thus makes separate protection of the display unnecessary. There is also the point that the OH55N is significantly more expensive to buy than the Samsung OM55N-S. In addition, Samsung's shop window display is even 500 cd/m² brighter than the outdoor device. It doesn't sound like much, but it's quite a lot, and especially outdoors the brighter the better. In addition, the OM55N-S has WiFi connectivity, so it doesn't have to be connected with a CAT cable. So if you are still within range of your router at your outdoor location or provide an outdoor access point, you save an additional cable and reduce the installation effort at the same time. There are other advantages of the OM55N-S that we could list now, but these will be less of an advantage outdoors and therefore we will not go into them. In conclusion, however, we can say that the OM55N-S is more than just an alternative and even surpasses the OH55N in terms of performance, as long as it is well and securely protected.
