Samsung has launched the new OH24B outdoor display, the smallest Samsung outdoor display to date. It has a brightness of 1500 cd/m², a Full HD resolution with 1920 x 1080 pixels and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. Samsung has installed an IPS panel so that you are offered wide viewing angles and natural, precise colours. Advertising content is perfectly displayed every time, even in bright sunshine, as the Samsung OH24B has Magic Glass for a reflection-free panel. Furthermore, even wearers with polarised sunglasses can view all content at all times. The Samsung OH24B can withstand temperatures from -30 to +50 degrees and is therefore perfectly equipped for any weather. The integrated temperature sensor also warns you if the operating temperature is too high or too low. The OH24B outdoor display also has an anti-graffiti coating and an IK10 shock resistance rating. In addition, the OH24B also has an IP66 certification, which means that the device is dust-proof and protected against water jets. The Samsung OH24B is particularly attractive for petrol stations, electric charging stations or drive-thru applications.

Where people used to go for outdoor displays that were as large as possible - after all, it was meant to be seen - they now also like to go for smaller displays, especially as add-on devices to expand the portfolio and also reach customers directly at the POS/POI. With its 24 inch screen diagonal (approx. 60 cm), it is the smallest outdoor display from Samsung.

It may be small, but it is packed with useful features: first and foremost its robustness in all weather conditions. You can use the display in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +50°C. At the same time, the OH24B is certified with an IP66 protection class, which means that dust and water are not a problem and ensure optimal outdoor use.

Samsung has installed Magic Protection Glass in the OH24B. Together with the IK10 rating, the display is thus equipped against any damage. Should the outer glass of the monitor ever break, the sensitive panel underneath will not take any. The IK10 impact resistance is one of 12 strength classes in the standard. The classes are categorised from IK00, the lowest class, to IK10+, the highest classification. IK10 corresponds to an impact resistance of 20 joules or the fall of an element weighing 5 kg from a height of 40 cm. Thanks to the resistant safety glass, the displays are perfectly protected against vandalism. Areas of application such as railway stations, airports or shopping centres are therefore absolutely suitable and you also do not need permanent surveillance. Of course, this is a great advantage, especially for large cities.

The Samsung OH24B is also UL-verified for outdoor visibility. It has anti-reflective technology that also offers polarised sunglasses wearers a clear view of your advertising content. Polarised sunglasses are widely used today because they effectively intercept light reflections from the field of vision, significantly reducing glare, which is a hugely important factor, especially when driving. Manufacturers of brand-name sunglasses therefore focus primarily on polarised sunglasses. But anyone who has ever worn polarised sunglasses will quickly realise that you can no longer make out any content on conventional displays. The screen simply remains black. Thanks to anti-reflective technology, however, your advertising can be seen clearly even with polarised sunglasses.

As already mentioned, the OH24B offers a brightness of 1500 cd/m², a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) as well as a contrast ratio of 1000:1, which provides a true-colour, brilliant image at all times.  It is ready for use around the clock thanks to the 24/7 runtime release. An integrated sensor automatically adjusts brightness to ambient lighting conditions for greater efficiency and flexibility. Automatically always the perfect setting at any time of day: so in the afternoon the display uses its full power, while in the evening it adjusts the brightness down to the necessary level.

The OH24B outdoor display has a depth of only 59.8 mm, including Magic Glass technology. This allows it to be installed and used effectively even in small spaces. In addition, you can easily operate connectivity, content playback and device control with this elegant model. The frame width of 21.9 mm is rather filigree for a stable outdoor display and can also be perfectly integrated into an already existing infrastructure.

The OH24B comes to you with the latest Samsung TIZEN 6.5 operating system (VDLinux) and the MagicINFO S10 player on board. The integrated quad-core chipset takes over the computing processes that would otherwise require an external PC. To enable you to create and publish your digital signage content quickly and efficiently, the OH24B offers an integrated Samsung MagicInfo solution. You can access the MagicInfo software of your display via LAN. You can easily store your self-created content on the 8 GB internal memory (4.12 GB available) and design, manage and play it via the integrated S10 Player. You can even set up schedules without an external device, so that your content is always played at the specified time and the display also switches off automatically according to your settings. This is a great advantage, especially during this time: on the one hand, it offers the opportunity to reduce operating costs and, on the other hand, to be able to advertise your own company or products at the same time. MagicInfo Lite is available free of charge. With the professional, chargeable MagicInfo Premium licence, however, you can increase the performance and variety even further. Through the connection to MagicInfo, the display can be monitored and adjusted remotely at any time, and a planned firmware update can also be installed at any time. For public authorities, financial institutions and other information-based companies, it offers the necessary data protection for efficient processes of the utmost importance. In addition, the continuous upgrades to the OH24B's web engine allow it to play the latest content types without limitations. This means that new, more varied and impressive creative assets can be played back.

Let's move on to the Samsung OH24B's connection and connectivity options: For external playback devices, there is an HDMI 2.0 input with HDCP 2.2 connection and two USB 2.0 ports, among others. You can connect external speakers via the 3.5 mm jack connection, because no speakers have been built into the OH24B. By the way, the connections are of course not accessible to everyone, but hidden and closed behind a removable cover, so that you can easily change connections. A classic LAN connection is available for connecting to your network.

In addition, a wireless WiFi connection and connectivity via Bluetooth are also possible. For this, the external WiFi/Bluetooth module is connected to the OH24B to support a higher receiver connection. The position of the WiFi/Bluetooth accessory can be adapted to different installation environments.
