The PureLink PI5010-075 from PureLink's PureInstall series is an active, 7.50 metre DisplayPort cable that is compatible with DisplayPort 1.4 specifications and can thus be used for resolutions up to 8K / UltraHD-2 / 4320p at 60Hz with a maximum bandwidth of 32.4 Gbps (HBR3). The 7.5mm outer diameter (AWG28) cable has DisplayPort connectors on both sides in an ABS plastic housing and the typical DisplayPort locking mechanism. It is also equipped with gold-plated precision plug contacts, rigid inner conductors made of high-purity copper and triple shielding for perfect transmission quality.
Due to its active chipset, the cable is directional; the connection direction must be checked before installation. One cable is marked Display End and it is mandatory to plug this cable into the display or projector.
The 8K DisplayPort 1.4 cables from PureLink's PureInstall series are designed for lossless AV transmission with perfect picture and sound quality. The professional cable connects source and display devices with DisplayPort connectors and is designed for a bandwidth of 32.4 Gbps (HBR3) and resolutions up to 8K / UltraHD-2 / 4320p with 60Hz. It supports HDCP up to version 2.2 and is also equipped with the usual DisplayPort locking system as well as support for the MST (Multi Stream Transport) function, which allows multiple monitors to be operated simultaneously on just one DisplayPort connection. The cable also supports the so-called Display Stream Compression (DSC 1.2), which automatically compresses signals with too much bandwidth so that they can be transmitted. Forward error correction, full HDR and Rec.2020 colour space support as well as up to 32 audio channels are also supported from DisplayPort version 1.4.
Thanks to triple shielding and the use of rigid inner conductors made of high-purity copper, the PureInstall DisplayPort cables are very well protected against interference, including interference from mobile phones and radio sources. The precision-fit connectors with ABS plastic housings have gold-plated contacts and guarantee an optimal connection with maximum transmission quality as well as durable corrosion protection.
With an outer diameter of only 7.5mm, an extremely small bending radius and an outer jacket made of flexible PVC, it can also be used in tight environments, such as behind the TV or in racks. The cable has passed the VW-1 test and is therefore flame retardant and suitable for critical areas. It does not have UL CL2 certification.
The PureLink PI5010-075 active cable is powered via the DisplayPort connector and therefore does not require a separate power supply
