20 multi-touch points and infrared for creative teamwork
The 75BDL4052E/02 from the Philips Education series is equipped with infrared technology, which is the most widely used technology for touch displays. There are 20 multi-touch points available. The infrared technology works by means of diodes and photodetectors, each of which is located on the opposite side of the frame of the touch display, like a light barrier, so to speak. If an object (e.g. finger or pen) interrupts the infrared field of the display, the exact position can be localised and processed as touch points. The advantages of this favourable touch technology are that it is not necessary to touch the display directly and 75BDL4052E/02 can also be operated with gloves or a pen. The display can also be protected against vandalism with an armoured glass panel if required, as the technology is located in front of the actual display. The 75BDL4052E/02 also offers an HID-compatible control panel with Plug & Play function. This means that you can connect various devices without having to install additional software. For example, if you want to connect your laptop, USB Plug & Play ensures that no installations or configurations are necessary. The devices can be connected from the side or from behind.
Integrated whiteboard mode for more spontaneity and flexibility
Turn the 75BDL4052/02 display into a blank canvas using the integrated whiteboard mode. Several users can then write, draw and design manually or with the touch pens included in the scope of delivery. Everything that is shown on the display can then be easily sent to a laptop or your favourite device and commissioned for printing or shared digitally with other participants. This function is ideal for spontaneous meetings in the office, group work in class or brainstorming sessions for the next university project: for example, you can easily share your sketches and content with your colleagues in the home office and everyone is up to date.
Connect multiple screens
The 75BDL4052E/02 has a wireless screen sharing function: this allows four different areas to be displayed on one screen. You can connect up to 64 devices at the same time and quickly switch between individual content as required. You can either use your Wi-Fi network or alternatively use an optional HDMI dongle to transfer content directly to the screen without having to connect to a protected network. You can also use a camera to start a video conference quickly and easily. This allows employees and colleagues who are not in the building or guests to take part in spontaneous meetings. Modern workplace thanks to Android 11 & optional OPS
With the integrated Android 11 operating system, you can install web apps on the screen at any time. The Android system has been specially optimised for native Android apps. Automatic updates ensure that your apps run smoothly with the latest functions and security patches. With the 32GB memory included, you can even save and play back your content permanently without external devices. If the storage capacity is not enough for you, the display has a connection for a MicroSD card. Save and play content without the need for a permanent external player. The integrated scheduling function lets you customise your apps and content according to the time of day and customer base. Thanks to the 75BDL4052E/02's automatic orientation, your content is played in portrait or landscape format with a simple rotation. Want to turn the display into an all-in solution? No problem - the existing OPS slot makes it possible: simply plug an optionally available OPS PC into the existing OPS slot of the 75BDL4052E/02 and you have a display with an integrated PC at your disposal, transforming your room into a "modern workplace". This contains all the connections you need for your slot-in solution, including a power supply.
Extensive connectivity
The 75BDL4052E/02 touch display also offers a wide range of connections. You get three HDMI 2.0 connections and a DVI-D connection for connecting external source devices. Three USB 2.0, three USB 3.0 and one USB-C port are available for connecting external hard drives or USB sticks. The audio input and output with 3.5 mm jack connection is an advantage if you want to connect a microphone to the display or pass the audio signal through to a sound system. The two powerful speakers, each with 15 watts, ensure great sound quality in large rooms such as presentation and meeting rooms. You can fully customise the audio settings for precise sound balance and the controllable audio output allows Philips to easily integrate into larger audio systems if required.
Excellent picture quality
The Philips 75BDL4052E/02 multi-touch display has a very high quality design with an ultra-high 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The display also has a brightness value of 410 cd/m², which refers to the brightness of the display itself, i.e. how bright the image appears on the screen. The brightness value of 380 cd/m² refers to the brightness of the touch panel backlight. The sensor surfaces of the touch panel are illuminated in order to better recognise the position of your finger or an input device. This value is lower because the touch area is better marked without impairing the display image. Overall, these values are completely sufficient for normal locations with indirect sunlight. Philips has installed an ADS panel: ADS panel technology is an improvement on IPS technology: unlike IPS technology, the ADS structure uses longitudinal and transverse electric fields for the parallel movement of liquid crystals. ADS also utilises the luminous flux more efficiently thanks to the indium tin oxide used. This material is very durable and reliable, improves colour rendering, increases viewing angles and has a very high light transmittance, which increases screen brightness. In addition, the 100% transparency allowed developers to place controls on the crystalline film. The lack of an additional protective coating increases the viewing angles by several degrees. ADS screens are also very pressure-resistant, which is particularly important for interactive displays.
Energy saving thanks to Smart Power
The Philips 75BDL4052E/02 display also offers a SmartPower function to save energy. This allows you to regulate the backlight, for example, and reduce your energy consumption by almost 50%, which of course also significantly reduces your operating costs. When it comes to mounting your 75BDL4052E/02 display, you only have landscape mode available, but this is sufficient for most applications anyway.
