Panasonic PT-VMZ71BEJ - WUXGA - 7000 Ansi - Laser - LCD Projector - Black

The projectors in the Panasonic PT-VMZ71 series are and remain the smallest and lightest LCD laser projectors in their class! The successor to the PT-VMZ60 series - the new Panasonic PT-VMZ71EJ is once again one of the brightest LCD laser projectors in its class. It impresses once again with its wide range of functions and brilliant images. The PT-VMZ71EJ has a brightness of 7000 Ansi Lumen which, coupled with the WUXGA resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and the high contrast of 3,000,000:1, delivers a perfect image result that will impress even the most sceptical. The Panasonic PT-VMZ71EJ projector is the ideal device for use in small to medium-sized conference or meeting rooms and can also be permanently integrated into the room at any time. Even the artificial lighting in the rooms cannot affect the brightness and colour fidelity of the LCD laser projector . The 1.6x zoom and the vertical and horizontal lens shift help you to easily align the image projected onto the screen. Thanks to its compact dimensions and low weight, this laser projector can of course be used on the move at any time - here too, the ease of installation is a huge plus point.

Daylight View Basic improves sharpness by optimising detail reproduction in dark areas of the image that are difficult to see in bright light. A sensor measures the ambient light so that the halftone colour and brightness can be optimally adjusted to the ambient light. The SOLID SHINE laser light source with advanced LCD optical engine projects bright, vivid and detailed images at all times, regardless of the artificial lighting in the room. Displayed text is finely resolved, while graphics and videos maintain high colour saturation and contrast for an immersive display. Another advantage of projectors with a laser light source is that the projector does not need time to warm up, so images reappear almost immediately after quick shutdown/standby mode in quick start mode. Even when switching off, there is no need to wait for the projector to be disconnected from the power supply. Simply switch off and you're done - no more risk of the lamp bursting because the heat was still too high. 

The Panasonic PT-VMZ71EJ can be used at any time with an optional wireless module in the form of a USB stick for wireless presentations. This makes wireless projection easier than ever with this laser projector. Simply plug the optional AJ-WM50 wireless module into the USB port provided on the Panasonic projector and then project wirelessly via the PC using the free Presenter Light for Windows® software or the Panasonic Wireless Projector App, which is available for iOS and Android . Using the Presenter Light software, images, videos and documents such as PDF and PowerPoint® can be played back directly, or you can mirror your PC screen directly onto the big screen. The Panasonic Wireless Projector App is more limited in terms of performance, so you can only display still images and PDF files wirelessly via these mobile devices, but it works and does so very reliably.  

Another point is the mounting options, which you should not ignore in any case. When modernising the projectors in your school or company, e.g. , you should also consider whether the new models can be installed in the existing mounting positions on the ceiling. In some cases, the projection distance required to produce an image of the desired size may exceed the optical zoom range of the projector. With the new Digital Zoom Extender function of the LCD laser projectors of the PT-VMZ71 series, Panasonic now offers you a convenient way to adjust the image to your projection surface beyond the optical zoom range. This will save you costs and effort during your next modernisation, as you will not necessarily have to mount the projector   in a different position if the optical zoom range is exceeded. 

Note: If the digital zoom extender is used, the resolution decreases.  The 6-point screen correction, V/H keystone correction and correction for curved projection surfaces are also not available when using this function, and options for adjusting the corners of the screen are limited. 

The PT-VMZ71EJ also has an impressive range of connections: For audio signals, there are two IN and one OUT connection. The LCD laser projector also has 2x HDMI (CEC compatible) and 2x D-sub 15-pin computer IN connections. The existing USB port (Type A) can be used, for example, for the Memory Viewer function or the optional AJ-WM50 wireless module. Alternatively, this USB-DC port can be used to supply power (5V/2A) to an optional PressIT wireless presentation system or a compatible HDMI media streaming device. In addition to the aforementioned connections and a D-sub 9-pin connection for computer control (RS-232C compliant), there are also two LAN connections. One RJ45 connection is used for network control 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, compatible with PJLink. The second RJ45 connection is for network and DIGITAL LINK connection (video/network/serial control) and is compatible with HDBaseT, among others. With this connection, you can transmit control, audio and video signals in the best HD quality via a conventional network cable (Cat 5e/6) up to 150 metres. Especially in large rooms, halls or at events, DIGITAL LINK makes installation much easier and also reduces installation costs. Simple integration into Crestron Connected, AMX DD and PJLink is also possible at any time .

It is not only the brightness of a projector, which in the PT-VMZ71EJ with 7000 lumens is sufficiently dimensioned and absolutely adequate for small to medium-sized rooms without direct sunlight on the screen (darkening of rooms at this brightness is not usually   necessary), is a decisive factor in favour of or against the purchase of a projector, but the most frequently mentioned most important criterion for presentations is the volume. We therefore also want to address this topic. Panasonic has combined various technologies in the PT-VMZ71EJ LCD laser projector to reduce the noise level to just 28 dB (quiet mode) so that the noise of the cooling fan is barely audible. This value is ideal for meetings where concentration is required. 

In addition to the excellent lighting technology and a wide range of connections, the projection option is another very important criterion. To align the image perfectly to the projection surface, the projector from Panasonic has a horizontal and vertical lens shift, as well as a large 1.6x manual zoom, with which you can align the image perfectly. The manual focus helps you with alignment and rounds off the performance package perfectly. Panasonic is the first to equip the PT-VMZ71 series with 6-point screen correction. You can now control the four-corner adjustment and the V/H keystone correction via the remote control and thus remove trapezoidal distortions that can occur when projecting from certain positions, such as a high ceiling. With the help of two additional control points in the top and bottom centre of the screen, distortions in corner projections can also be avoided. The screen adjustment adjusts the image to the screen if it is projected from an unusual angle. Curved Screen Correction removes distortions for a natural projection on curved surfaces. With the Panasonic PT-VMZ71EJ, 360° degree projections are also possible at any time, which offers you completely new possibilities, e.g. in digital signage applications . Why not simply have the laser projector project onto the floor and welcome your guests in a very special way? Another possibility, where special projections can also occur, would be in a museum and can also be projected onto unconventional surfaces. The Panasonic PT-VMZ71EJ weighs 7.0 kg, which is a very good weight for a laser projector in this performance class. For this reason, the PT-VMZ71EJ, as one of the lightest LCD laser projectors on the market, can also be used on the move at any time.  

Another advantage of the new Panasonic PT-VMZ71 series is its lower power consumption. Compared to the previous Panasonic LCD laser projector series , the new series uses around 20 per cent less energy. By simply pressing the ECO button on the projector's remote control, the efficiency is further increased and the brightness is optimally adjusted to the ambient light. With Panasonic laser projectors and the energy-efficient projections in your meeting rooms or classrooms, you can achieve your CSR environmental goals and reduce waste at the same time. 

Depending on where you use the laser projector , the filter must be replaced once after approx. 10,000 hours. If you install the 6200 lumen projector in a classic meeting room, the filter will generally last the 20,000 hours specified by the manufacturer. However, if the device is installed in a museum, for example, where there is a lot of dust, then you will not be able to avoid replacing the filter after approx. 10,000 hours . However, the investment is minimal and would have to be made much sooner with a classic lamp projector. 

Our conclusion on the Panasonic PT-VMZ71EJ: The LCD laser projector from Panasonic is a true all-rounder and we are very happy to include it in fixed installations with high demands on image quality and reliability. You can't go far wrong with the PT-VMZ71EJ and that is also the reason why we as an integrator favour such devices. With the LCD laser projector, you get a durable device that our customer doesn't have to worry about . The business runs more smoothly because there is no need for complex maintenance every 3500 hours, as is usual with normal lamp projectors. Many customers have small huddle rooms, or at most medium-sized conference and meeting rooms and these are usually equipped with a window front to provide sufficient daylight during meetings. In most cases, darkening is not desired or even not useful for classic meetings - and this is where the PT-VMZ71EJ comes into play. With its 7000 lumens you are on the safe side, as this brightness is more than sufficient for 95% of all the locations mentioned above. Especially in small huddle rooms / meeting rooms, a projector with this brightness is somewhat oversized, because 3500 Ansi lumens would also be sufficient, but nevertheless we like to rely on this projector, because in such small rooms the brightness can then simply be lowered - this extends the service life of the device on the one hand and on the other hand reduces the operating volume to up to 28dB. We call this a typical win-win situation and our customers are delighted with it.
