The projectors of the Panasonic PT-VMZ71 series are and remain the smallest and lightest LCD laser projectors in their class! The successor model of the PT-VMZ60 series - the new Panasonic PT-VMZ61BEJ is again one of the brightest LCD laser projectors in its class. It once again convinces with a high level of functionality and brilliant images. The PT-VMZ61BEJ has a brightness of 6200 Ansi Lumen which, paired with the WUXGA resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and the high contrast of 3,000,000:1, delivers a perfect picture result that will delight even the most sceptical. The Panasonic PT-VMZ61BEJ projector is the ideal device for use in small to medium-sized conference or meeting rooms, where it can also be permanently integrated into the room at any time. Even the artificial lighting of the rooms cannot affect the brightness and colour fidelity of the LCD laser projector . The 1.6x zoom as well as the vertical and horizontal lens shift support you in easily aligning the image projected onto the screen. Thanks to its compact dimensions and low weight, this laser projector can of course be used on the move at any time - here, too, the ease of installation is an enormous plus.

The SOLID SHINE laser light source with advanced LCD optical engine projects bright, vivid and detailed images every time, regardless of the artificial lighting in the room. Displayed text is finely resolved, while graphics and video maintain high colour saturation and contrast for immersive viewing. Another advantage of projectors with a laser light source is that the projector takes no time to warm up, so images reappear almost instantly after quick power off/standby mode in Quick Start mode. Even when switching off, there is no need to wait for the projector to be disconnected from the power supply. Just switch it off and you're done - no more risk of the lamp bursting because the heat was still too high.

The Panasonic PT-VMZ61BEJ can be used at any time with an optionally available wireless module in the form of a USB stick for wireless presentations. This makes wireless projection easier than ever with this laser projector. Simply plug the optional AJ-WM50 wireless module into the Panasonic projector's USB port and project wirelessly from your PC using the free Presenter Light software for Windows® or the Panasonic Wireless Projector App, which is available for iOS and Android. With the help of the Presenter Light software, you can play back images, videos and documents such as PDF and PowerPoint® directly, or you can mirror your PC screen directly onto the large screen. The Panasonic Wireless Projector App has a more limited range of features, so you can only display still images and PDF files wirelessly via these mobile devices, but it works and does so very reliably. 

Another point is the mounting options, which you should not ignore in any case. When upgrading the projectors in your school or company, e.g. , you should also pay attention to whether the new models can be installed in the existing mounting positions on the ceiling. In some cases, the projection distance required to produce an image of the desired size may exceed the optical zoom range of the projector. With the new Digital Zoom Extender feature of the PT-VMZ71 series of LCD laser projectors, Panasonic now offers you a convenient way to adjust the image to fit your projection surface beyond the optical zoom range. This will save you money and effort during your next refurbishment, as you will not necessarily have to mount the projector   in a different location because of a possible overshoot of the optical zoom range.

Notice: When the Digital Zoom Extender is used, the resolution decreases.  Also, 6-point screen correction, V/H keystone correction and curved screen correction are not available when using this feature, and screen corner adjustment options are limited.

The high connectivity of the PT-VMZ61BEJ is also impressive: For audio signals, there are two IN and one OUT connection. In addition, the LCD laser projector has 2x HDMI (CEC compatible) and 2x D-sub 15-pin computer IN connections. The available USB port (Type A) can be used e.g. for the Memory Viewer function or the optional AJ-WM50 wireless module. Alternatively, this USB-DC port can be used to provide power (5V/2A) to a optional PressIT* wireless presentation system or a compatible HDMI media streaming device. In addition to the above-mentioned connections and a D-sub 9-pin connector for computer control (RS-232C compliant), there are also two LAN connections. One RJ45 connection is used for network control (10Base-T, 100Base-TX, compatible with PJLink. The second RJ45 connection is for network and DIGITAL LINK connection (video/network/serial control) and is HDBaseT compatible, among other things. With this connection, you can transmit control, audio and video signals in best HD quality via a conventional network cable (Cat 5e/6) up to 150 metres. Especially in large rooms, halls or at events, DIGITAL LINK makes installation much easier and also reduces installation costs. Simple integration into Crestron Connected, AMX DD and PJLink is also possible at any time .

Not only the brightness of a projector, which in the case of the PT-VMZ61BEJ with 6200 lumens is adequately dimensioned and absolutely sufficient for small to medium-sized rooms without direct sunlight on the screen (darkening rooms at this brightness is usually not necessary), is a decisive point for or against the purchase of a projector, but as most important criterion the loudness during presentations is mentioned most often. Therefore, we also want to address this topic . Panasonic has combined various technologies in the PT-VMZ61BEJ LCD laser projector to reduce the noise level to only 26 dB (Quiet mode), so that the noise of the cooling fan is barely audible. Two additional control points at the top and bottom centre of the screen can also be used to prevent distortion in corner projections. Screen Adjustment adjusts the image to the screen when projected from an unusual angle. Curved Screen Correction removes distortion for a natural projection on curved surfaces. With the Panasonic PT-VMZ61BEJ, 360° degree projections are also possible at any time, which offers you completely new possibilities e.g. in digital signage use . Another plus point of the new Panasonic PT-VMZ71 series is its lower power consumption. Compared to the previous Panasonic LCD laser projector series , the new series uses around 20 percent less energy. By simply pressing the ECO button on the projector's remote control, efficiency is further increased and the brightness is optimally adjusted to the ambient light. So with Panasonic laser projectors and the energy-efficient projections in your meeting rooms or classrooms, you can achieve your CSR environmental goals and reduce waste at the same time.

Depending on where you use the laser projector , the filter may need to be replaced once after approximately 10,000 hours. If you install the 6200 lumen projector in a traditional meeting room, the filter will usually last the 20,000 hours specified by the manufacturer. However, if the unit is installed in a museum, for example, where there is a lot of dust, then you will not be able to avoid replacing the filter after approx. 10,000 hours . But the investment is minimal and would have to be made much sooner with a classic lamp projector.

Our conclusion on the Panasonic PT-VMZ61BEJ: The LCD laser projector from Panasonic is a true all-rounder and we like to use it in fixed installations with high demands on image quality and reliability. You can't go far wrong with the PT-VMZ61BEJ and that's also the reason why we as integrators prefer such devices. With the LCD laser projector, you get a durable device that our customer doesn't have to worry about much . The business operation is more uninterrupted because there is no need for extensive maintenance every 3500 hours, as is usual with normal lamp projectors. Many customers have small huddle rooms, or at most medium-sized conference and meeting rooms and these are usually equipped with a window front to provide sufficient daylight for meetings. In most cases, dimming is not desired or even useful for classic meetings - and this is where the PT-VMZ61BEJ comes into play. With its 6200 lumens you are on the safe side, as this brightness is more than sufficient for 95% of all the above-mentioned locations.  Especially in small huddle rooms/meeting rooms, a projector with this brightness is somewhat oversized, because 3500 Ansi lumens would also be sufficient, but nevertheless we like to use this projector, because in such small rooms you can simply turn down the brightness - on the one hand, this extends the life of the device and on the other hand reduces the operating volume to up to 26dB. We call this a typical win-win situation and it also delights our customers.
