The Panasonic PT-TMZ400 is a high-quality WUXGA laser LCD projector with an impressive 4000 ANSI lumen brightness. With its short-throw technology, the Panasonic PT-TMZ400 allows flexible installation in different rooms, even where space is limited. The elegant white design of the PT-TMZ400 blends elegantly into any environment and gives the room a professional atmosphere. The WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels) ensures razor-sharp images and precise details, allowing presentations, videos or other content to be displayed in outstanding quality. Project an 80-inch image from 73 cm and avoid shadows on the screen. The compact, lightweight housing is portable and easy to install with Digital Zoom Extender and Image Shift function.
Enjoy comfort with easy mobilityWith
the Panasonic PT-TMZ400 you get TV-like comfort with easy mobility. The width and depth of the housing is not much larger than a laptop and it weighs just 4.9 kg. This also makes it suitable as a mobile projector that you can take anywhere. Of course, this is also a plus point if you want to install it on the ceiling. Start your lesson or meeting without disruptive delays. Thanks to the SOLID SHINE laser light source, the PT-TMZ400 projects your content around one second after switching on from standby mode - unlike lamp-based projectors, which take some time to start up. It also has a direct-off function so that you can switch off the projector at any time using the room breaker.
Digital zoom extender and digital image shift for the optimum projection surfaceIn
some cases, the projection distance required to produce an image of the desired size may exceed the optical zoom range of the projector. With the PT-TMZ400's Digital Zoom Extender and Digital Image Shift function, you have a convenient way to adjust the image to your projection surface beyond the optical zoom range. This saves you costs and effort, as you do not necessarily have to mount the projector in a different position if the optical zoom range is exceeded. In addition to digitally adjusting the image size so that it fits on the screen, you can digitally shift the projection by up to ±10 % vertically and up to ±10 % horizontally. The image position and size can be flexibly adjusted to fit your screen without touching the projector. The Digital Zoom Extender function allows you to keep the same mounting position as your old projector, even if it is too far away from the screen, saving you construction work. It extends the projection distance beyond the optical zoom range so that the image is projected onto your screen at the desired size.1
Note: The resolution is reduced when the digital zoom extender is used. If you use this function, some screen adjustment functions may not be available or their adjustment range may be limited.
1 The PT-TMZ400 uses the same bracket and mounting bracket as the conventional lamp-based PT-TW381R series, so when you upgrade, you can screw the new projector in directly and use the Digital Zoom Extender to adjust the image on the screen.
Panasonic has also equipped the PT-TMZ400 projector with various screen correction functions to perfectly align the image with the projection surface. You can now control the four-corner alignment and V/H keystone correction via the remote control, removing trapezoidal distortions that can occur when projecting from certain positions, such as a high ceiling. With the help of two additional control points in the top and bottom centre of the screen, distortions in corner projections can also be avoided. The screen adjustment adapts the image to the screen if it is projected from an unusual angle. The Curved Screen Correction removes distortions for a natural projection on curved surfaces.
Efficient performance with minimal maintenanceBoth
the light source and the ECO filter of the PT-TMZ400 only need to be replaced after approximately 20,000 hours1. Comparable lamp projectors would require between one and four lamp changes plus filter maintenance for the same operating time. In addition, there is no need to dispose of expired lamps and the ECO filter of the PT-TMZ400 can be washed and reused, which saves waste. This not only saves you money but also reduces maintenance costs. And thanks to the controlled brightness curve of the light source and the consistently uniform colour rendering, images remain clear and vivid for much longer.
1 At this point, the light output has dropped to approx. 50 % of the original level ([IMAGE MODE]: [DYNAMIC], [DYNAMIC CONTRAST] to [2], temperature 30 °C, altitude 700 m with 0.15 mg/m3 particulate matter). The estimated time until the light output decreases to 50 % varies depending on the environment. The filter can be washed and reused up to twice (see operating instructions for details). Filter cleaning cycle: 20,000 hours (at dust conditions of 0.08 mg/m3), 10,000 hours (at dust conditions of 0.15 mg/m3).
Versatile connectivity options available
ThePanasonic PT-TMZ400 features versatile connectivity with HDMI ports, two VGA ports and a USB port for optional wireless presentation modules and the ability to integrate PressIT for wireless screen sharing. Both HDMI inputs™ on the projector are compatible with CEC commands1 to enable use with fewer remote controls. The projector will automatically switch on, play your content and switch off when it recognises these commands from a compatible source device such as a Blu-ray player™, media streamer or the optional PressIT2 wireless presentation system. PressIT is Panasonic's optional wireless presentation system that enables easy screen sharing with a single button press. PressIT consists of a receiver that connects to the projector and transmitters that connect to PCs or mobile devices. You also don't need a computer to start presenting - simply connect a USB memory stick to the PT-TMZ400's USB port, press the NETWORK/USB button on the remote control, select MEMORY VIEWER and your still images will be displayed. Use the arrow buttons to switch to the previous slide or return to the previous slide.

To control your PT-TMZ400, there is multi-monitoring and control software that enables monitoring and control of up to 2,048 display devices via LAN, including an optional early warning function for hassle-free management. A 90-day trial version is already included for you to try out. For a wireless connection, you can upgrade your projector with the optional Panasonic AJ-WM50 wireless module. This allows you to share your content wirelessly1 from your laptop or smartphone. Simply scan the QR code displayed in the on-screen menu with your smartphone's camera and your device will automatically connect to the projector via Wi-Fi without the need for an SSID or passwords. Then use the free wireless apps from Panasonic2 to beam your media to the big screen.

The PT-TMZ400 also has a quiet mode that reduces the operating noise to up to 24 dB (in quiet mode) - roughly equivalent to the rustling of leaves. The projector blends unobtrusively into your environment and minimises distractions, even when the group is sitting close to the projector. The quiet projection helps to focus attention on the presentation, regardless of whether your class or colleagues are in the room or participating remotely.
Additional functions for youIn addition,
the Panasonic PT-TMZ400 offers a range of other functions such as a built-in speaker, microphone input, audio output and shutter function. The DICOM simulation mode is suitable for medical applications, while support for PJLink, Crestron Connected and AMX DD facilitates integration into professional AV systems. The emulation function enables the projector to be controlled via various systems.
