The MZ882 series delivers outstanding picture quality with balanced brightness and colour, a high dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 and with 7500 lumens, the projector is sufficiently dimensioned for medium to large rooms. At this brightness, it is no longer necessary to darken rooms and offers you significantly more professional presentations and higher quality image results, even in rooms with plenty of daylight. The PT-MZ782WEJ's Daylight View Basic function optimises the visibility of the image according to the lighting levels. Daylight View Basic is a dynamic adjustment technology that improves image sharpness by enhancing detail in dark areas of the image that are difficult to see in bright light. A sensor measures the ambient light in the room and optimises sharpness, screen colour, contrast and brightness for the best results according to the room lighting. Coupled with the Detail Clarity Processor, which sharpens details and text, the projector ensures impressive picture quality even in brightly lit rooms. The unique image correction circuit reproduces details more clearly and sharply. It analyses the video signal frequencies in each scene and adjusts the optimum sharpness based on the information extracted from the signal. Compared to conventional image processing technology, this system reproduces images with an even more natural and dimensional feel and also sharpens text edges for more pleasing readability.

Dynamic Contrast analyses the input signal for each individual image and adjusts the output of the light source according to the contrast requirements of the scene in order to optimally match the playback content or the operating environment. This not only increases the general contrast accuracy, but scenes with frequent changes between bright and dark images are also displayed much more precisely. The proprietary circuit technology analyses each video image frame by frame in order to display areas with the finest details with crystal clarity. The data is extracted by various algorithms from four frequency bands of the signal. This allows contours to be sharpened and corrected and interference to be reduced for a razor-sharp text display and better detail resolution in videos and graphics. This version of the Panasonic PT-MZ782WEJ is supplied with the ET-ELS20 motorised lens with a TR ratio of 1.61-2.76:1.

The light source offers a service life of at least 20,000 hours in normal mode, so you don't have to worry about maintenance and downtime, while also ensuring a high level of investment security. The PT-MZ782WEJ also has an integrated eco-filter. This eco filter contains an electrostatic micro-cut filter that captures even the finest dust particles. In combination with a dust-resistant projector housing, the Eco filter enables long-term use in dusty environments. The filter needs to be replaced after around 20,000 hours. However, it can also be easily cleaned with water and reused. The environmentally friendly projector body of the PT-MZ782WEJ is made from around 10% recycled resins to reduce the environmental impact during its life cycle. With an 8% increase in efficiency over previous models and a new Auto Power On function, it is more energy efficient and user-friendly.

Like your PC, Panasonic projectors "sleep" after a certain idle time and shut down to save energy after this quick start phase. If playback is resumed after the quick start phase, you will have to switch the projector on again manually. To avoid this, some users disable the quick start timer or leave the projector running with the shutter on, wasting energy. The PT-MZ882 series solves the problem with automatic switch-on. This new feature switches the projector on and resumes playback automatically when an input signal is detected, even when the device is switched off. Presenters can pause and resume their programme without significant interruption and administrators can achieve energy savings in their schools or businesses.

Get an optimised workflow and smooth user experience thanks to resource-saving setup and operation with 4K input signal compatibility and support for CEC control commands via three HDMI™ inputs. The Panasonic PT-MZ782WEJ is also equipped with Geo Pro7 software, Panasonic's advanced geometric adjustment software that corrects the geometric distortion of projections, especially on complex or irregular projection surfaces. Ideal for projections on domes, curved surfaces, building facades and other non-flat surfaces, for example. Correction extends to spherical, cylindrical and complex screen shapes without the need for a connected PC. Aspect ratio maintenance and independent corner adjustment simplify the correction. At the same time, the ability to save image adjustment data is useful whenever correction settings need to be disabled and reapplied and to save work progress when creating an adjustment profile. Geo Pro simplifies the adjustment of geometries, blending and colour uniformity and optimises your multi-screen calibration workflow. The software extends the built-in geometric and multi-screen adjustment functions with a Free Grid function that controls 4-corner adjustment, keystone correction, curved screen correction and free-form image correction via a user-friendly interface. Software-based tools for multi-screen calibration include colour adjustment, brightness control, colour uniformity, black level and input signal adjustment.

In addition to excellent lighting technology and a wide range of connections, the projection capability is another very important criterion. To align the image perfectly to the projection surface, the Panasonic projector has a motorised horizontal and vertical lens shift (vertical +/-67%, horizontal +/-35%), as well as a motorised zoom function (depending on the lens), with which you can align the image perfectly to the screen and for the alignment you do not have to climb a ladder and then turn the lens, but carry out the screen setup via the remote control. Widescreen conferencing software layouts can be output from a PC to a PT-MZ882 series projector, allowing remote participants to appear at the bottom of the screen at eye level with those seated in the room, improving communication fluidity. This function is also useful for projecting documents side by side or showing film content. The PT-MZ882 series supports 1920 x 810 (21:9) or 1920 x 640 (27:9) signals.

Especially in larger rooms or in rental use, you often need a large projection surface. The Panasonic PT-MZ782WEJ is a good solution here. Simply set up several projectors next to each other and, thanks to edge blending, you can easily blend and adjust the seams without an extra PC. The integrated geometry adjustment can be controlled via the projector's remote control and enables distortions to be corrected if the images are projected from unfavourable angles or onto curved or irregular surfaces. Spherical, cylindrical or other complex deviations can be corrected without the need for an additional PC.

Another new feature is Smart Projector Control. This is a remote control app for iOS and Android devices that can be used to adjust, control and monitor up to 64 projectors individually or simultaneously from anywhere within the range of the wireless network. You can use the app to switch the projector on or off, select an input signal and adjust the projector's OSD menu settings via your device's touchscreen while it is in standby mode or the shutter is activated.

Optional power lenses adapt the projection to your room

The PT-MZ882 series comes with the ET-ELS20 (1.61-2.76:1) zoom lens and is compatible with six other optional lenses. Electric V/H lens shift function (V: ±67%, H: ±35%), zoom and focus adjustment are supported via the remote control or Smart Projector Control app. The range of optional lenses includes the ET-ELU20 ultra-short throw zoom lens (0.330-0.353:1). This lens projects content with no offset at the top and bottom of the image, making the PT-MZ882 series a cost-effective solution for museums and location-based entertainment (LBE) applications.

Note: The V/H lens shift values apply to the ET-ELS20 (corresponds to the supplied lens), ET-ELT22, ET-ELT23 and ET-ELW20. Further V/H lens shift values are as follows: V: ±60%, H: ±30% (ET-ELW22) and V: ±50%, H: ±24% (ET-ELU20). The ET-ELW21 does not support the lens shift function. The PT-MZ882 series does not support some functions of the Smart Projector Control App. Check the device compatibility in the App Store or Google Play Store.
