Panasonic PT-LMZ420 - WUXGA - 4200 Ansi - Laser - LCD Projector - White

The Panasonic PT-LMZ420 is a portable and lightweight LCD projector with SOLID SHINE laser technology, WUXGA resolution and 4200 ANSI lumen brightness. The Panasonic PT-LMZ420portable and compact laser projector allows flexible installation in different rooms, even where space is limited. The WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels) ensures razor-sharp images and precise details, allowing presentations, videos or other content to be displayed in outstanding quality. Dynamic Contrast ensures deep and realistic content and improves the legibility of text. The PT-LMZ420 also has the Daylight View Basic feature, which optimises the picture quality according to the amount of light in the room: A sensor measures the ambient brightness and adjusts the picture brightness, contrast and halftone colour to achieve clear results in all conditions. With the Digital Zoom Extender, Image Shift and Keystone Correction functions, you can easily install the PT-LMZ420 and customise the projection to suit your needs.

Portable and compact laser projector

The Panasonic PT-LMZ420 impresses first and foremost with its easy mobility. The width and depth of the housing is not much larger than a laptop and it weighs just 4.2 kg. This makes it perfect as a mobile projector that you can take anywhere. Of course, this is also a plus point if you want to install it on the ceiling. Start your lesson or meeting without disruptive delays. Thanks to the SOLID SHINE laser light source, the PT-LMZ420 projects your content about a second after switching on from standby mode - unlike lamp-based projectors, which take some time to start up. It also has a direct-off function so that you can switch off the projector at any time using the room switch.

Digital zoom extender and digital image shift for the optimum projection surface

Panasonic has enhanced the Digital Zoom Extender function with a new Digital Image Shift function. The Digital Image Shift is useful when it is not possible to install the projector in the centre of the screen because, for example, lights or ventilation slots on the ceiling are in the way or if the ceiling is too high. The PT-LMZ420's Digital Zoom Extender and Digital Image Shift function provide you with a convenient way of adapting the image to your projection surface beyond the optical zoom range. This saves you costs and effort, as you do not necessarily have to mount the projector in a different position if the optical zoom range is exceeded. In addition to digitally adjusting the image size so that it fits the screen, you can shift the projection vertically by up to ±10 % and horizontally by up to ±10 % using the remote control. The image position and size can be flexibly adjusted to your screen without touching the projector. The Digital Zoom Extender function allows you to keep the same mounting position as your old projector even if it is too far away from the screen, saving you construction work. It extends the projection distance beyond the optical zoom range so that the image is projected onto your screen at the desired size^.1 

Note: The resolution is reduced when the digital zoom extender is used. If you use this function, some screen adjustment functions may not be available or their adjustment range may be limited.

Panasonic has also equipped the PT-LMZ420 projector with various screen correction functions to perfectly align the image with the projection surface. You can now use the remote control to control four-corner adjustment and vertical and horizontal keystone correction, removing trapezoidal distortions that can occur when projecting from certain positions, such as a high ceiling. With the help of two additional control points in the top and bottom centre of the screen, distortions in corner projections can also be avoided. The screen adjustment adjusts the image to the screen if it is projected from an unusual angle. Curved Screen Correction removes distortions for a natural projection on curved surfaces. 

Efficient performance with minimal maintenance

Both the light source and the ECO filter of the PT-LMZ420 only need to be replaced after approx. 20,000 ^hours1. Comparable lamp projectors would require between one and four lamp changes plus filter maintenance for the same operating time. In addition, there is no need to dispose of expired lamps and the ECO filter of the PT-LMZ420 can be washed and reused, which saves waste. This not only saves you money but also reduces maintenance costs. And thanks to the controlled brightness curve of the light source and the consistently uniform colour rendering, images remain clear and vivid for much longer.

Versatile connection options are available

The Panasonic PT-LMZ420 is characterised by versatile connectivity with HDMI ports, two VGA ports and a USB port for optional wireless presentation modules and the ability to integrate PressIT for wireless screen sharing. Both HDMI inputs™ on the projector are compatible with ^CEC commands1 to enable use with fewer remote controls. The projector will automatically switch on, play your content and switch off when it recognises these commands from a compatible source device such as a Blu-ray player™, media streamer or the optional ^PressIT2 wireless presentation system. PressIT is Panasonic's optional wireless presentation system that enables easy screen sharing with a single touch of a button. PressIT consists of a receiver that connects to the projector and transmitters that connect to PCs or mobile devices. You also don't need a computer to start presenting - simply connect a USB memory stick to the PT-LMZ420's USB port, press the NETWORK/USB button on the remote control, select MEMORY VIEWER and your still images will be displayed. To control your PT-LMZ420, there is multi-monitoring and control software that enables monitoring and control of up to 2,048 display devices via LAN, including an optional early warning function for hassle-free management. A 90-day trial version is already included for you to try out. For a wireless connection, you can upgrade your projector with the optional Panasonic AJ-WM50 wireless module. This allows you to share your content ^wirelessly1 from your laptop or smartphone. Simply scan the QR code displayed in the on-screen menu with your smartphone's camera and your device will automatically connect to the projector via Wi-Fi without the need for an SSID or passwords. Then use the free wireless apps from ^Panasonic2 to beam your media to the big screen.
