However, you do not have direct access to the operating system, it only serves as a basis for Zoom Rooms or Microsoft Teams Rooms. The performance of the integrated PC is adapted for Zoom and MS Teams and holds further resources for the future. Sensors: The environmental sensors integrated into the Neat Bar monitor the air quality in your meeting room and help you to ensure the health and safety of your employees. Monitoring and reporting of humidity, temperature, CO2(-equivalent) and VOC (volatile organic compounds) is available once enabled in the Zoom portal. As of today, these sensors can only be used in Zoom, but work is underway to implement them with Microsoft Teams. In addition, both the Neat Bar and the Neat Pad use ultrasound to detect movement or changes in the environment and turn on. For this purpose, the Neat Bar and Neat Board have an ultrasonic speaker and ultrasonic microphones. The camera is neither activated nor used for this function. Privacy is a top priority with Neat at all times.

Zoom Digital Signage: With digital signage function, you can display images, videos or websites of your Zoom room even if the room is not in a Zoom meeting. You can create digital signage rooms to display content without setting up a full zoom room. When you add multiple images, videos or websites to display, they are displayed in turn and you can set how long each image is displayed. You can also set how long content is displayed before and after scheduled meetings. Content can be set at room, floor, site or account level. Thanks to Zoom Digital Signage, you can easily use the Neat Bar as a digital billboard for staff or visitors during off hours, displaying up-to-date information about your company or promoting products or promotions.

Neat Pad Console included: If you configure the Neat Pad as a controller , this ensures that every meeting room is always ready for use. You can add multiple Neat Pads as controllers in a room, so everyone has access to the video conference controls from anywhere at the table. And in an upcoming software release, the Neat Pad's two built-in microphones will provide enhanced audio recording on all Neat systems. This will allow you to use the microphones built into the Neat Pad to augment the microphones available on the Neat Bar. This way, even participants sitting at the back of the table can be better understood. If you want to place the Neat Pad on the table, you can simply position it anywhere. The tablet is powered via the cable supplied. The tablet can be supplied with Internet via PoE or via the integrated WiFi. Used as a controller, you can start your meetings faster with a Neat Pad Console and share your screen with just one tap. Configure Neat Pad as a controller for your Zoom rooms. It also allows you to invite participants, mute them if necessary or record your meetings. When connected to a third-party Zoom Rooms system, it not only replaces a traditional tablet controller, but also gives you much more functionality. The Neat Pad as a controller can currently only be used in combination with Zoom; use with MS Teams is already in the works and will be added via a firmware update. If you do not want a controller, but prefer to use the Neat Pad supplied as a room booking display, this is no problem. During the initial set-up, you can select yourself what the Neat Pad is to be configured as, and you can reset this setting at any time via a factory reset.

Neat Pad as room booking display (optional): However, the Neat Pad can also be used as a room booking display in front of a meeting or conference room. Mount the Neat Pad as a panel directly in front of your meeting room for optimal room management. The Neat Pad thus allows you to book the room immediately on the spot, without having to first get out a PC or smartphone and search for the appropriate calendar. The LED display integrated into the side of the pad shows room availability even from a distance. A room booking display is a real relief in busy meeting rooms and equally shows a high level of professionalism. If at some point you find that the pad is no longer needed as a room booking system and you would rather use the pad as a controller, that's no problem. You can reset the 8-inch display via a factory reset and then configure it as a controller.
