With the P554U professional LCD lamp projector from NEC, you can make your meetings and lectures more appealing, as the LCD projector is characterised by a brightness of up to 5,300 ANSI lumens for meeting and learning environments. In addition to outstanding image quality, the P554U also guarantees a long service life with low maintenance requirements: the lamp-based projectors in the P series are equipped with an innovative and patent-protected dust protection for LCD panels. The NEC P554U projector offers optimum mounting options and can be easily adjusted to the existing projection surface with its large zoom range. The LCD technology impresses with natural-looking, high-contrast colours and the wide horizontal and vertical lens shift ensures flexibility during installation. You can also organise your meetings and lectures more efficiently: With the optional NEC MultiPresenter function, up to 16 devices can be integrated via USB connection. Manage your connected devices from a central location with the NaViSet Administrator 2 software and reduce administration costs. The NEC P554U offers you low power consumption, reducing your total cost of ownership and improving your carbon footprint.
UHP lamp-based projector with minimal maintenance requirementsThe
NEC P554U projector uses the UHP lamp, which is still the most widely used projector light source. This metal vapour lamp offers the advantage that it can be easily replaced by any user in the event of a defect due to its modular design. Above all, a projector with a UHP lamp guarantees lower purchase costs compared to laser projectors. The lamp life of the P554U is 4000 hours (8000 hours in Eco mode). This results in acceptable filter change intervals for you.
LCD technology, high brightness and resolution for perfect image reproductionThe
NEC P554U ensures vivid colours and a high-contrast display with its proven LCD quality. You will impress your audience with perfect readability even in the back rows. The P554U has 5300 Ansi lumens and a WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200) as well as a contrast ratio of 20,000:1. With a higher resolution than Full HD, WUXGA offers a larger viewing area for engineering graphics, Excel spreadsheets or PowerPoint presentations and is therefore perfect for your everyday business or school work.
Projection ratio, lens shift, keystone correctionA
large zoom range and horizontal and vertical lens shift complete the performance spectrum The P554U projector offers you both vertical (+/-30°) and horizontal (+/-15°) manual keystone correction. However, keystone correction always has an impact on image quality and therefore lens shift correction should always be favoured where possible. This is because lens shift moves the lens directly, allowing you to adjust the image perfectly to the screen without affecting the image quality. This WUXGA projector from NEC has a horizontal lens shift of ±0.15 and a vertical lens shift of +0.55,-0. With a projection ratio of 1.2 - 2:1, you can install the NEC P554U at a distance of at least 0.8 to a maximum of 12.9 metres from the screen.
Network managementThe
NEC P554U projector can be easily managed remotely by your IT department via HTTP browser control. It can also be connected to NaViSet Administrator 2 using a standard LAN cable to connect to the company network. With the optional NEC MultiPresenter function, wireless presentations and screen sharing are possible for up to 16 devices simultaneously, without any configuration effort. Simply use the wireless Plug & Play USB token. No software needs to be installed on the presentation devices. For more information, read here
Crestron Room View availableWith
Crestron media control, you can access the full functionality of your P-Series projector at the touch of a button. Using a simple touchscreen that is fully integrated into your meeting room equipment, you can control the entire technical infrastructure in your meeting room. You have better things to do than searching for remote controls or connecting cables under conference tables: Impress your audience with professionalism and efficiency.
ConnectivityThe
NEC P554U does not require any additional devices to realise long distances between computer and projector via cable. The built-in HDBaseT receiver allows you to transmit uncompressed, high-resolution audio and video over long distances at low cost. To do this, simply connect the projector with a Cat.6 cable. The HDBaseT receiver of the P554U is compatible with any certified HDBaseT transmitter. For example, you can use it to connect several projectors to each other across several rooms, provided you use an HDBaseT distributor. Especially in large rooms, halls or at events, HDBaseT makes installation much easier and also reduces installation costs. The P554U has two HDMI inputs (with HDCP), 1x RCA connection, 1 x USB type B, 1 x type A (USB 2.0), as well as 1 VGA input and an HDBaseT connection. The projector has an integrated 20 watt mono loudspeaker, with which you would already be equipped for presentations or museum exhibitions. You can connect additional speakers or a microphone to the projector via the audio input and output (3.5 mm). The P554U can also be integrated into existing room control solutions at any time via the RS232 port.
The new models in the P series can be used with mounting devices from previous models and are therefore particularly quick and resource-saving to install.
NEC grants you a 3-year guarantee on the P554U lamp projector. The guarantee is limited to 25,000 operating hours. Wearing parts excluded. The light source is guaranteed for 6 months, up to a maximum of 1000 hours.
Conclusion: The NEC P554U is an affordable projection solution for large screens with flexible installation options, future-proof connectivity and media playback.
