The NEC P547UL is a bright and quiet laser projector. With its 5400 ANSI lumen brightness, WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200), a contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 and the processing of 4K input signals at 30 Hz, the P547UL from NEC can project your images at any time, even in bright environments. With a volume of just 22dB in Eco mode, the P547UL is quieter than the ticking of a wristwatch. NEC is thus setting new standards for silent operation with the P547UL laser projector. With a 1.6x manual zoom, lens shift and keystone correction, the professional projector has a wide range of customisation options to ensure it is equipped for any application. The projector supports you in any installation, no matter how demanding, whether in the education or business sector. The NEC P547UL can be swivelled 360° and is suitable for 24/7 operation. The laser projector from NEC has an in-built HDBaseT receiver, which enables you to transmit high-resolution video and audio files cost-effectively via a single cable.
3LCD technology for vivid colours and high brightness
In contrast to conventional lamp-based projectors, the NEC P547UL uses laser phosphor technology with 3 LCD panels. The laser LCD unit is completely encapsulated, which means that neither a filter nor a lamp replacement is necessary. The P547UL uses an array of blue laser LEDs for the blue colour in the final image. Another blue laser illuminates a yellow phosphor wheel, which then generates the yellow light. This yellow light is then split into green and red light components by a filter. LCD projectors with a blue laser beam use three LCD panels to generate the red, green and blue components of the image. The result is vivid colour reproduction. NEC guarantees the laser light source will last at least 20,000 hours, so you don't have to worry about your investment in the long term. You no longer have to schedule maintenance times for lamp replacement and also save on operating costs.
Brilliant images guaranteed
In addition to the ultra-high contrast of 3,000,000:1, the projector's colour and contrast ratio is also guaranteed by the brightness of 5400 ANSI lumens, whatever the environment. The P547UL also has a WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels in 16:10 widescreen format. With a higher resolution than Full HD, WUXGA offers a wider viewing area for engineering graphics, Excel spreadsheets or PowerPoint presentations and is therefore perfect for your everyday business or school work. the NEC P547UL processes 4K input signals in 30 Hz and then automatically converts them into razor-sharp images.
Projection ratio, lens shift, keystone correction
In addition to its outstanding image quality, the laser projector also scores highly in terms of its alignment and application options. Thanks to its robust mechanical design, the projector can be mounted on the ceiling in almost any position and angle. The possibilities are very diverse. The P547UL can be swivelled 360° to support your creative applications. You also have the option of switching the projector to portrait mode to achieve additional projection displays. The P547UL projector offers you both vertical (+/-30°) and horizontal (+/-30°) keystone correction. However, a keystone correction always has an influence on the image quality and therefore you should always favour a lens shift correction if possible. This is because lens shift moves the lens directly, allowing you to adjust the image perfectly to the screen without affecting the image quality. This WUXGA projector from NEC has a horizontal lens shift of ±29 and a vertical lens shift of +60.-0. With a projection ratio of 1.23 - 2:1, you can install the NEC P547UL at a distance of at least 0.8 to a maximum of 12.9 metres from the screen.
Network management
The NEC P547UL projector can be easily managed remotely by your IT department via HTTP browser control. In addition, the projector can be connected to NaViSet Administrator 2 via a standard LAN cable. You could also purchase the NEC NP05LM2 wireless LAN USB stick at any time, with which you could also integrate the projector wirelessly into your network. The WLAN dongle also enables wireless image transmission and virtual remote control. The integrated NEC MultiPresenter function enables wireless presentations and screen sharing for up to 16 devices simultaneously, without any configuration effort.
Connectivity
The NEC P547UL does not require any additional devices to realise long distances between computer and projector via cable. The built-in HDBaseT receiver allows you to transmit uncompressed, high-resolution audio and video over long distances at low cost. To do this, simply connect the projector with a Cat.6 cable. The HDBaseT receiver of the P547UL is compatible with any certified HDBaseT transmitter. For example, you can use it to connect several projectors to each other across several rooms, provided you use an HDBaseT distributor. Especially in large rooms, halls or at events, HDBaseT makes installation much easier and also reduces installation costs. The P547UL has two HDMI inputs (with HDCP), 1 x USB type B (for service), 1 USB type A (WLAN dongle), 1 x type A (USB 2.0 with 2.0A power supply), as well as 1 VGA input and an HDBaseT connection. The projector has an integrated 20 watt mono speaker, which means you are already equipped for presentations or museum exhibitions. You can connect additional speakers or a microphone to the projector via the audio input and output (3.5 mm). The P547UL can also be integrated into existing room control solutions at any time via the RS232 port.
Silent operation
For many people, the volume during presentations is one of the most important criteria for or against a purchase, so we would also like to address this issue. NEC has combined various technologies in this device to reduce the noise level to 22dB (Eco mode). This makes this projector quieter than the ticking of a clock, which is a must in meetings and video conferences. In standard mode, the volume of the projector is just 26dB.
If you're wondering whether this projector is worth using at all, our answer is yes! Firstly, thanks to its long service life of 20,000 hours, the P547UL is a reliable long-term solution without the brightness diminishing over time. What's more, the laser projector's energy efficiency also makes it a cost-effective solution for you: the energy-saving mode allows you to extend the projector's service life and minimise energy consumption. The lamp-free laser light projection source is more environmentally friendly, contributes to a mercury-free environment and also promotes sustainable development.
