The camera is suitable for rooms of any size and shape: in meeting rooms of any size, from conference rooms to classrooms, boardrooms and lecture theatres. It captures every person in the room with silent pan, tilt and zoom functions, the 90° diagonal field of view and the razor-sharp 15x HD zoom. The Logitech RightSense technologies, which have been integrated directly into the Rally camera, provide support through automated processes such as Logitech RightSight camera control, which automatically adjusts the lens to all meeting participants, or Logitech RightLight technology for optimum light balance. So you get better and more natural video conferencing!
Let's start with the image quality of the PTZ camera: the video playback of the Rally camera offers a high-quality colour display together with true-to-life image reproduction. It captures videos up to 4K at up to 30 frames per second, which is ideal for recording and streaming in Ultra HD, for example. The large, light-gathering lens meets the highest optical standards and offers exceptional sharpness, colour reproduction, speed and resolution. The camera's quiet mechanical PTZ motor adjusts the speed of pan and tilt movements to the zoom level. The result: faster camera movements when zooming out for fast image adjustment and slower camera movements when zooming in for more precise control.
The Rally camera also has a diagonal 90° field of view that captures the entire meeting room without any distortion. This is where the Logitech RightSight camera control comes into play: it moves the lens automatically so that all meeting participants are optimally displayed, regardless of which room you are in. The Logitech RightLight technology with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) ensures the optimum light balance, i.e. that everything is optimally displayed even in dim light or bright sunshine or backlight. This technology does not highlight objects or surfaces, but instead emphasises faces and displays skin tones naturally. With the 15x HD zoom, you can also zoom in or out to see objects, presentation content and other details clearly, even at the opposite end of the room.
Logitech offers you flexible options for installing the Rally camera. You can either place it on a table or directly under the display, mount it on a wall using the included mounting accessories or attach it to a VESA-compatible screen using the optional TV mount. You can even mount it on the ceiling, as the Rally camera automatically recognises when the image recording is upside down and then automatically corrects the image orientation and camera control. For additional flexibility, the camera also has a standard tripod thread.
Logitech has also made sure that you are guaranteed ease of use with this camera. You simply connect the Rally camera to the power outlet and your PC, Mac and ChromeTM devices or display via USB. Data protection and privacy have become increasingly important over the years. This is why the Rally camera has a parking position in which the lens points directly downwards when the camera is not in use. The lens moves to a preset position when you start a meeting and automatically returns to the parked position when the meeting ends. When video recording is muted during a meeting, a status indicator also lights up red to visually confirm that confidentiality is being maintained.
