The BenQ LW855UST ultra-short-throw projector transforms your classroom into an interactive classroom. With the innovative BlueCore laser technology of the BenQ LW855UST, images, presentations, infographics and documents are projected in WXGA resolution with 1280 x 800 pixels. The added value you get from BlueCore laser technology is, on the one hand, a longer lamp life than conventional projectors and, on the other, a higher lumen output. The projector is able to work for 20,000 hours in normal mode without any impairment. In contrast to conventional lamp projectors, the brightness does not decrease by approx. 50% after half the running time (usually after approx. 2,500 hours). Although a laser projector costs slightly more to purchase than a comparable lamp projector, it protects your investment in the long term and ensures a perfect image without compromising on quality even after years of use. The included DLP chip ensures maximum longevity, which is guaranteed by sealing the chip from dirt and heat and guarantees you permanently excellent picture quality. The BlueCore laser technology offers colour fastness, for which two colour wheels are responsible and offer an almost incomparable colour performance. The colour wheels have an additional yellow colour segment, which provides a precise RGBY spectrum. Compared to conventional lamp projectors, an enormously high colour saturation is achieved here. With the LW855UST, BenQ has made sure that the projector is protected by Dust GuardTM technology. This means that the laser bank is protected by sealed laser modules. The laser light source is thus hermetically sealed against dust and guarantees maintenance-free operation for up to 20,000 hours. The drop in brightness of conventional projectors does not occur here, instead you get high performance for many years. This can significantly reduce maintenance costs for lamp replacement and servicing. The LW855UST also has another protective measure: the colour wheels of the BlueCore laser technology contain sensors that prevent dirt and dust from getting inside the laser light source. The LW855UST also offers you a wide range of applications in classrooms and lecture theatres. With ultra-short throw projectors, the distance between the projector and the projection surface is very short and the projection angle is very steep. This prevents the presenter from being dazzled or causing shadows. As these devices project a large image even at short distances thanks to the special lens, ultra-short throw projectors are also ideal for small rooms. With the LW855UST laser projector, you can expect smooth lessons without any space restrictions. Distracting shadows and light glare are prevented and you can work together with pupils or students. This flexibility saves you costly and time-consuming renovations and installation work.

The wall bracket included in the scope of delivery ensures perfect image alignment and simple installation. For an efficient and professional installation, the LW855UST's ultra-short throw wall mount is equipped with an installation chart and ruler for perfect screen alignment and image positioning in the classroom. To make mounting even easier, there is a three-way adjustment knob on the front of the projector.

Let's stay with the perfect setup of the projected image. The LW855UST has an additional setting here: with digital image scaling ("Digital Shrink"), you can set up the projector exactly as you want it. This means you do not need to reinstall the LW855UST if the projector is used in the same environment but with different image source formats or aspect ratios. Because you can adjust the image. With the corner fit correction, you can adjust every corner of the image individually. What's more, you can also adjust the LW855UST laser projector with the ±15° two-dimensional keystone correction (both vertically and horizontally). If the projector cannot be centred in some rooms, the undesirable trapezoid effect is created. You can use the keystone correction to adjust all corners of the projection individually so that the image geometry is perfectly aligned at the end.

Let's move on to the interactivity you get with this LW855UST ultra-short throw projector. This is thanks to PointWrite™ technology, which you can add as an option with the PointWrite™ modules (PW30U and PT20). PointWrite™ combines PointWriteTM technology with QWrite software, allowing BenQ's short-throw interactive projectors to turn any flat surface, even the surface of a table, into an interactive whiteboard. There is no need for expensive digital whiteboards or additional equipment. Nothing stands in the way of interactive and collaborative teaching in the digital classroom. In the university environment, documents can be easily annotated, enabling dialogue between students and lecturers in the shortest possible time. Collaboration is the keyword here, as teachers can use the multi-touch to let their students help shape the lesson and integrate group activities. They can use both their fingers (optional PT20 touch module required) and the pen (optional PW30U camera module with pens). A nice feature: PointWrite™ can be set up very intuitively. It calibrates and saves the settings automatically as soon as it is connected to the PC's USB port. This means that no complicated training is required for teachers - you can get started straight away. PointWrite™ projectors also allow intuitive Windows finger movements: Zoom in and out or scroll when browsing websites, images or GoogleMaps.
