The BenQ LU9800 WUXGA large-format projector shines with its brilliant image performance of 10,000 ANSI lumens, its outstanding installation flexibility and its durability. The BenQ LU9800 installation projector comes without a lens included: choose from 8 optional motorised lenses, all with wide corner adjustment and precise square lens shift. In addition to ultra-high brightness, enjoy amazingly realistic colours thanks to sRGB mode for 95% Rec 709 colour accuracy. The BenQ LU9800 comes with factory preset white balance: White balance calibration ensures seamless and accurate image quality without any distracting discrepancies. The LU9800's BlueCore laser technology provides round-the-clock operation, saves you costly maintenance intervals and guarantees at least 20,000 operating hours.
DLP high-brightness laser technology for large venue applications
The BenQ LU9800 is an installation projector with BlueCore laser technology for unique images in the corporate or cultural sector as well as in the hotel industry. The laser technology of the LU9800 enables the projector to be operated around the clock and saves you cost-intensive maintenance intervals. BenQ guarantees outstanding image quality and full performance for at least 20,000 hours. If you convert the period just mentioned, you would need a new lamp every 2,000 hours for a perfect picture, which would correspond to around 10 lamps. In the end, this quickly adds up to several thousand euros, plus downtime and technician costs. BenQ laser projectors may seem a little more expensive at first glance, but the maintenance costs can be calculated in advance and you won't be in for any nasty surprises. The BenQ laser light source supports continuous operation around the clock and is suitable for applications in museums and exhibitions. The user can choose between three different light source modes to optimise energy consumption and up to 70,000 hours can be achieved in dimming mode.
Dual colour wheels produce 95% Rec.709 colour coverage for optimum colour performance
WUXGA resolution with 1920x1200 pixels delivers more detail and impressive clarity of images. The LU9800's high brightness of 10,000 ANSI lumens produces beautiful images in bright, compact showrooms with outstanding picture quality. BenQ uses dual colour wheels for this projector. This eliminates the white segment of the classic colour wheel and enables richer RGBY colours. Thanks to a perfect mix of red, green, blue and yellow colour segments, the result cannot be compared with a classic lamp projector. A 92% Rec.709 colour coverage is achieved: by increasing the colour ratio and purity of RGBY colours, the LU9800 dramatically improves colour saturation to ensure superior presentation quality. The installation projector produces impressively clear images with a stratospherically high native contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 - for the deepest blacks, vivid, rich colours and finest details. In addition, the projector has a customised light mode that ensures consistent brightness transitions. The light mode modulates the light output in 80 steps from 40 % to 100 % and thus optimises the projected image in a variety of ambient light situations. It is particularly useful for achieving uniform brightness across multiple projections.
In addition to the excellent lighting technology, the projection option is another very important criterion when deciding in favour of or against a projector. Create a 360° degree or portrait projection in no time at all and use the BenQ LU9800 as a marketing tool for particularly eye-catching advertising content. Whether you want to project onto the ceiling, a wall, the floor, a pillar or a sloping surface, this laser projector is ideally equipped for the job. The BenQ LU930 is equipped with a two-dimensional keystone correction range of ±30 degrees in both horizontal and vertical directions. If the projector is or can be positioned off-centre, the undesirable keystone effect is created. Depending on which lens you buy as an option, you also have the option of adjusting the image using lens shift.
Multiple lenses for different applications
As already mentioned, the LU9800 projector from BenQ is supplied without a lens. It is compatible with several optional electric lenses to maximise the beam ratio. Manufactured in Japan, these all-glass optics eliminate chromatic aberration and colour flare for optimal image quality. Maximise installation options and projection layout with a quick one-button release. Changing lenses is now easy and safe.

The BenQ LU9800 is designed for permanent installation and this is also evident in the variety of connections. 2x HDMI, 1x PC input and 1x USB type A are available for image transmission. The LU9800 is equipped with HDMI 2.0 connections so that users can now effortlessly project content with much less friction and enjoy a wider range of brightness and contrast than with SDR. The USB Type-A port allows users to permanently power their mobile devices. This means you no longer have to worry about your mobile device running out of power during a meeting. The 3D Sync In /3D Sync Out connections allow you to connect up to 4 projectors and project 3D content together via a single PC. With the LU9800, you will need to use the audio connections for external speakers as the projector does not have built-in speakers.
Using the HDBaseT connection provided, you can transmit the control, audio and video signal in the best HD quality via a conventional network cable (Cat 5e/6) up to 100 metres. Especially in large rooms, halls or at events, HDBaseT makes installation much easier and also reduces installation costs. Simple integration into Crestron, AMX and PJ Link is possible at any time. For a fast connection, you can also use the LAN port and the MDA ("Multiple Display Administrator") software. Especially for institutions and companies, this variant offers powerful, centralised control of several BenQ projectors, with automatic opening and closing processes for publicly accessible rooms, remote-controlled switching on and off and scheduling. You can also integrate the laser projector into existing Extron, Crestron, AMX and PJ-Link media control systems for seamless integration. This can be done via LAN (RJ45) or RS232 (up to 15 metres). The BenQ LU9800 has excellent dust protection with IP5X certification: BenQ laser projectors are equipped with sealed laser modules and enclosed light engines to protect the DMD chip, colour wheel sensor, laser package and other optical components. This lock-and-key design hermetically seals the engine from dust, extending the life of the projector. The BenQ LU9800 features a colour wheel sensor with a sophisticated anti-dust function that prolongs optimal performance by repelling dust that can accumulate on the conventional sensor and block the IR signal, causing flickering, abnormal colours or even shutdown.
The BenQ LU9800 laser projector comes with a 5-year warranty or 30,000 hours (whichever comes first).
