BenQ LK835ST: The 4K laser projector for the ultimate projection experience on straight and curved surfaces
The world of projectors has made significant progress in recent years. With the introduction of 4K Ultra HD technology and laser light sources, projectors are no longer just simple devices for displaying images or videos on a large screen. They are now powerful multimedia tools capable of delivering stunning visual experiences. One such device is the BenQ LK835STan advanced 4K Ultra HD short-throw laser DLP projector. With a brightness of 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 and a host of built-in features designed for flexibility and ease of use, the LK835ST sets new standards in the world of projection technology.
Powerful projection technology
The LK835ST short-throw projector from BenQ is another model that utilises DLP laser projection projection. Two colour wheels ensure the colour fastness of the device and guarantee an almost incomparable colour performance. An additional yellow colour segment enables the creation of a precise RGBY spectrum. Compared to conventional lamp projectors, the LK835ST achieves significantly higher colour saturation, resulting in a noticeably more intense and realistic image display. This is particularly advantageous for graphic artists and designers. The DLP laser technology enables the projection of images, presentations, infographics and documents in outstanding 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels). This is four times the resolution of conventional FHD projectors. The LK835ST uses DLP technology with just one DMD chip to produce true, vivid colours and razor-sharp images. You don't even have to worry about unwanted fading or shadows.
Short throw projector with 0.69-0.83 flexible short throw ratio for large images from a short distance
The BenQ LK835ST is a short-throw projector with a flexible short-throw ratio of 0.69-0.83. This means that it is capable of projecting large images from a short distance. This makes it ideal for small or medium sized rooms where space is limited for the installation of a traditional projector. Despite its compact size, the LK835ST can project images up to 240 inches (6.09 metres) diagonally, making it an excellent choice for home cinemas, business presentations or classrooms. Adapting a projector to the given room conditions often proves to be a challenge, especially in smaller rooms, and the BenQ LK835ST has a short throw ratio of 0.69 to 0.83 and a 1.2x zoom function, which enables it to project life-size images in confined spaces. Particularly in museums or art exhibitions, this allows visitors to stand directly in front of the exhibit without it being affected by a shadow, and the flexibility of the device means that renovations and complex installations can be avoided, resulting in considerable cost savings.
Flexible installation with automatic screen adjustment, quick focus and motorised zoom
The BenQ LK835ST offers flexible installation with automatic screen adjustment, quick focus and motorised zoom. This means that you can set up the projector almost anywhere and optimally adjust the image to the screen. You get a complete package when it comes to image adjustment options: it is equipped with a two-dimensional keystone correction range of ±30 degrees in both horizontal and vertical directions. If the projector cannot be positioned in the centre, the undesirable keystone effect occurs. The keystone correction allows you to adjust all corners of the projection individually so that the image geometry is perfectly aligned at the end. Thanks to lens shift, you can also move the projection up or down by 2.5% of the screen height. The image is not artificially processed and the image quality remains unaffected. This allows you to adjust the projector perfectly to the screen, even in difficult installation conditions.
For fixed installations, it is also possible to use warping to create geometrically correct image impressions on curved screens, for example for technical simulations and in the field of leisure sports. Warping, also known as distortion correction, refers to the adjustment of the projected image to irregularly shaped or curved surfaces. This means that if you want to project an image onto a concave or convex surface, distortion may occur. The warping function ensures a correct and clear display in such cases. In flight or golf simulators where several projectors are combined, the warping function helps to create a realistic 3D experience. The installed presets for colour reproduction, including 3D, Bright, Cinema, Game, Golf, HDR10, HLG, sRGB, User 1 and User 2, represent and illustrate the wide range of possible applications of the BenQ LK835ST.
Effortless and consistent blending experience with BenQ's unique white balance setting
The LK835ST delivers an effortless and consistent blending experience with BenQ's unique white balance setting. This means you can install multiple projectors side by side and blend their images into a seamless whole. The white balance setting ensures a consistent colour temperature across all projectors, resulting in an even and natural image. This makes the LK835ST ideal for multi-projector installations in museums, exhibitions or other applications where a large projection surface is required.
IP5X sealed motor with optional filter for optimum dust resistance and protection
The LK835ST has an IP5X sealed motor with optional filter for optimal dust resistance and protection. This means that the projector works reliably even in dusty or dirty environments. The optional filter provides additional protection against dust and dirt, which extends the life of the projector and reduces maintenance costs.
Wi-Fi enabled with an optional dongle for wireless projection from a mobile device
The LK835ST is Wi-Fi enabled with an optional dongle for wireless projection from a mobile device. This means you can stream content from your smartphone, tablet or laptop directly to the projector without having to run cables or install additional hardware. This makes the LK835ST an excellent choice for presentations, home cinema or other applications where flexibility and ease of use are key. The LK835ST is equipped with two HDMI 2.0 ports, allowing users to effortlessly project content and enjoy a wider range of brightness and contrast than with SDR. Conventional projectors have an analogue VGA output, which can lead to paler images due to the transmission distance. There is also a USB-C input that can supply devices with a display port interface, such as smartphones, with up to 5 watts. One of the two USB-A ports is reserved for an optional WiFi dongle, which enables the LK835ST to be networked. Audio has also been considered. The projector has an audio output and a speaker that is only equipped with 10 watts. We recommend integrating additional speakers for an even better sound experience.
Overall, the BenQ LK835ST is an impressive projector that offers excellent picture quality, flexibility and ease of use in a compact and robust package. Whether you are looking for a projector for your home cinema, office or classroom, the LK835ST is an excellent choice.
