WAC - 3 letters that will change education

Especially in this day and age, it is important that both teachers and students are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. Whatever your stance on the subject, interactive whiteboards are a way to improve communication in the classroom and encourage collaboration. Be inspired by how you can easily enrich your lessons with digital content and how your school can benefit from the opportunities it brings. Get to know the Samsung WAC series a little better now.

 Whiteboard +Education  =Opportunity

This is how you could translate the three letters of the latest Flips at any time. The digital whiteboards of the WAC series are the chance for an optimal and modern education for your pupils. Classic whiteboards have helped many generations to learn. But they were never really intelligent. If circles can only be recognised with a lot of imagination or if what is written has to be translated first, then it is likely that you are staring at a chalkboard. With the WAC flip displays, these times are finally a thing of the past. Prepare your lessons at home. Why not let students share presentations and projects with the whole class with a 'click'? Use learning apps that increase attention and make learning fun. It's easier to teach content when learning is fun. The biggest hurdle: Digital whiteboards must be easy to use and understand. Teachers and students alike should be able to use the board without instruction, and no one implements this formula better than Samsung. Education is not a one-way street and with the WAC series, it is now in the fast lane.

Android operating system in the classroom the best basis

Samsung WAC Displays
The Flip WAC series, unlike all other Flip series, was deliberately built on Android. Android is an operating system that usually every student and also every teacher already knows from everyday life. In this way, the inhibition threshold in front of the new tablet is lowered from the outset, as one is on familiar terrain from the start. Teachers can design the Android Flip according to their ideas and needs at any time. The homescreen is simply populated with the most important apps for everyday teaching. You want to install your favourite app on the whiteboard? No problem, because thanks to Android, the whole world is open to you. Another advantage is that the Android operating system naturally also offers a convenient and stable way to connect to other Android devices. So it's easy for both to connect wirelessly to the Flip and share content.

But what about programmes and tools that are only available on Windows? Samsung has also thought of this with the WAC series and so the whiteboards offer an OPS slot in which you can integrate an optional OPS PC with Windows operating system. This way you can switch back and forth between the two worlds at any time.

The classroom as a place of community

Samsung WAC Displays
With the WAC displays, the classroom becomes a place where everyone can work together. No matter what device teachers or students bring to class, up to 9 devices can connect wirelessly. This makes it easy to share and discuss homework with the whole class. But surveys or a quiz can also be created with this digital whiteboard. The pupils then work on these on their tablets or notebooks. Saving the developed content and sending it to the pupils by e-mail after class is possible without any problems. In addition to the classic WiFi connection, the Android device is also equipped with a Bluetooth connection.

However, you also want to connect external devices via cable? Of course: In addition to the modern 3-in-1 USB port with a max. charging power of 65 watts, there are 3 x HDMI, numerous other USB and a nostalgic VGA input, among others, at your disposal. Here, everything has been thought of down to the smallest detail - for a high degree of connection diversity. Exactly what educational institutions need.

A tablet - only a little better

Samsung WAC Displays
Blackboards are the linchpin of every lesson. Whether it is a classic blackboard or a digital whiteboard is initially irrelevant. To share the lesson with the whole class, both boards serve as a means to an end. A whiteboard is often made up of a large writing surface and two wing boards. This is probably how everyone has encountered it. A digital whiteboard also usually consists of one large surface. Side boards can be retrofitted or are often no longer desired because a display provides an almost infinite writing surface. This means you don't have to constantly clean the digital board with a wet sponge when the surface has been fully utilised: You simply turn the page or swipe to the next "blackboard page". Several people can work on one board at the same time, also no problem with the Samsung WAC displays. Up to 20 people can draw, write or paint at the same time. Whereas with the classic whiteboard you have a choice of 4 basic colours at best, with the Android Flips you can choose from an almost infinite colour palette or mix your own colours. In addition, the Flip offers intelligent recognition of shapes and drawings and is able to display them better. Digital rulers and many other points are further advantages that a classic whiteboard does not have to offer in this way.

Lessons visible for everyone

Samsung WAC Displays
Who has not experienced it? A digital whiteboard is used in a large classroom or plenary hall. The right approach, but often a problem for participants who sit further back or cannot see the display well? A real challenge, as we hear again and again. But what can the WAC series do better at this point? It's simple: via the integrated HDMI output, you can simply mirror the image onto an even larger display, beamer or LED wall. Now even participants sitting further away can see all the content. That's exactly how it should be and ultimately that's what Samsung simply does right.

3 sizes to choose from

Suitable and practical bundles for schools and educational institutions

It must be possible to adjust the height of an interactive whiteboard to the different needs of pupils and teachers at any time. This is the only way to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to use the display in an uncomplicated way. A motorised height-adjustable holder is the simplest solution for this. Many schools like to use trolleys because they offer maximum flexibility. At this point, we would like to present our recommendations, although you are of course welcome to combine other mounts with the Samsung WAC series.

Conclusion on the Samsung Flip WAC series and a brief comparison with the Flip Pro WM series

The Samsung Flip WAC series is the perfect solution, especially for use in the education sector. The WAC series is tailored to budgets and funding programmes, such as the DigitalPakt, both in terms of price and functionality. The open Android operating system provides greater flexibility than the Flip Pro WMB series. Android apps, which are very important in the education sector, can be freely installed on the WAC series displays. The Samsung Flip WAC series will not replace the Flip Pro WMB series, but will complement the Flip portfolio. With the self-contained Tizen operating system, the WMB displays are the perfect solution for companies focussing on business applications. However, companies and authorities that do not allow Android devices are also better served with the Flip WMB series.
