The Samsung Tizen Business Manager - software for large rollouts

With the Samsung Tizen Business Manager, Samsung offers you a free online platform with which you can easily organise large rollouts of Samsung Signage Displays, Samsung Flips, Samsung Hospitality TVs and Samsung Biz TVs from a central location. Manually adding each individual display to Samsung MagicINFO or Samsung VXT is now a thing of the past. Just want to set the most important presets, such as format orientation, input source etc. for several displays at once? No problem! With Samsung TBM you can simplify the delivery of signage screens in the most efficient way. Not only for your IT, but also for recipients or installers of the displays.

Registering, configuring and managing Samsung Signage Displays has never been easier.
Samsung Tizen Business Manager

The Tizen Business Manager is free of charge

The Tizen Business Manager is a great solution. And the best thing about it is that the TBM doesn't cost a cent. All you have to do is log in to the Tizen Business Manager portal with a Samsung account - this account can also be created free of charge - and you are ready to prepare 5, 10 or even hundreds of Samsung Signage Displays in one go. For more convenience during rollouts.

Really simple. The Tizen Business Manager

Step 1: Register Samsung Tizen Business Manager

Before you can use the Tizen Business Manager, you must log in with a Samsung account or create a new Samsung account. This example shows you how to create a Samsung account, which is required for TBM. After creating your Samsung account, you will have immediate access to the Tizen Business Manager.

Step 2: Registration in Tizen Business Manager

The first step is to set up an organisation in Tizen Business Manager (e.g. per customer, per branch, etc.). When you have finished setting up, please contact us and let us know the name of the organisation and the organisation ID that you entered when you registered with TBM. This information will be used to request the activation of the account at Samsung. The account is usually activated within 24 hours. We will inform you of the activation by e-mail.

Step 3: Device registration

Next, you need to register the serial numbers of all the devices you want to install. To do this, you only need the abbreviated serial number, which you will find on the box of the displays. However, you can also find the full serial number on the back of the display or in the device menu. To register one or two displays, you can use the clear input mask provided by Samsung in the TBM portal. CSV import is recommended for a larger number of devices.

Step 4: Device configuration / profiles

You then carry out the pre-configuration of the displays, e.g. according to customer-specific requirements. A convenient input screen is also helpful here, which shows you the pre-configuration options in a clear format. Simply select all the points that are important to you. Here you can also select whether the display(s) should be connected to a MagicINFO server or to VXT. Even the connection to external providers of signage solutions that are compatible with the Samsung signage devices can be stored here.

Step 5: Publish the configuration

Once the profile has been created and all serial numbers have been stored, the time has come to publish the configuration. The process is set in motion with just a few clicks and is carried out step by step in the background. As soon as they are connected to the power supply and network, the affected devices will receive and apply the configuration within a very short time. It does not matter how much time has passed between the publication of the profile and the first connection of the display. As soon as the displays are online, they automatically load the specified configuration.

Samsung Tizen Business Manager - all important information in a nutshell

Samsung Tizen Business Manager

For all Samsung Signage displays

The Tizen Business Manager is compatible with all Samsung Signage devices from Tizen 6.5 onwards. This applies to all displays manufactured from 2022 onwards. However, you can not only use digital signage displays with TBM, but also Samsung Flip devices, Samsung Hotel TV and Samsung Business TV. One solution for a huge product range.

Samsung Tizen Business Manager

Minimise sources of error

For the connection to Samsung VXT or Samsung MagicINFO, it was always necessary to create instructions that had to be given to the employees or installers. To avoid this, the displays were prepared at a central location so that in the end only fully configured displays were handed over to the employees or installers, who only had to connect the power and internet. However, this involved a certain amount of effort and preparatory work. At TBM, we consistently avoid this effort. You order the displays from us and simply have them delivered to the respective employees or installation partners. With the dispatch you receive the serial number from us, which you can then conveniently store in TBM and publish the appropriate configuration directly. Once they arrive at the desired location, the displays only need to be connected to power and the Internet. That's it. A well-rounded solution that has never made rollouts so easy.

Samsung Tizen Business Manager

Save costs and time

With Tizen Business Manager you can definitely save a lot of time and therefore money. The simple option of publishing and integrating displays via TBM significantly reduces preparation time. Especially when supporting large customers who want to have all signage devices managed by one partner, one person always had to be on site to manually connect the displays to VXT or MagicINFO. In addition, it was necessary to wait with the settings until the devices were on site at the customer's premises or, in the case of preparation of the devices by a partner, until they had arrived at their own warehouse. With TBM, you no longer need to wait. Everything can be put into operation immediately after dispatch and transmission of the serial number. As soon as the customer receives the display, it is configured directly and everything is done.

Important questions about the Samsung Tizen Business Manager? We have the answers!

Yes, you can test Samsung VXT free of charge for a maximum of 60 days. The test is free of charge and can be easily requested via Samsung. You do have to create an account with Samsung, but you do not have to enter any payment details etc. for the test. The test is therefore really free of charge and without obligation. https://www.samsungvx.com/onboarding

The following topics are important:

  • Only the Samsung VXT Standard CMS + RM version can be tested. If these functions are not sufficient for you, you must upgrade to the Pro version, which is then subject to a charge. In the Standard version you can try out and test all the important functions, knowing that even more functions are available to you in the Pro version.
  • You can connect a maximum of 3 screens to the test version. Regardless of whether these are real displays or the virtual VXT Player.
  • After the test, you can purchase the corresponding VXT licence from us. The test server and all settings will then be transferred. When you place an order, please let us know the e-mail address and the company for which you have registered the test account.
  • It would also be possible to activate the account online directly in Samsung VXT. In this case, however, you would have to pay the recommended retail price and the service would be handled by Samsung USA. We would therefore recommend that you purchase the licences through us as a specialist dealer. We are also available to answer any questions or problems you may have.

After activating your VXT license(s), you will receive an email from Samsung with a 6-digit activation code. You will need this to activate the licenses on your VXT server.

  • Log in to your VXT server via the browser.
  • Click on > “Settings” > “Plan” to access the “Plan” menu page.
  • Then click on > “Enter Activation Code”.
  • Enter the 6-digit code that you received by email from Samsung.
  • Then click on > “Register Now”.
  • Done.

he easiest way to order VXT is directly via our online shop. Samsung itself does not offer direct sales of licences in Europe; licences can only be purchased via Samsung partners. As a VXT certified partner, we are the right contact!

Simply add the desired number of licences to your shopping basket. Depending on the quantity, we also offer discounts that are deducted directly in the shopping basket.
Write the following information directly in the comment field of the shopping basket and send it to us with your order. If you do not have this information to hand, our customer service team will contact you by e-mail after you have placed your order and ask you for the following information:
  • Please provide us with the e-mail address you used to register at https://samsungvx.com/onboarding. Samsung itself does not activate VXT instances, so the free test server is a prerequisite for activating VXT licences.
  • Please let us know the name of the organisation under which the test server is registered. You will see this name when you log in to VXT. You will see the organisation name in bold on the start page.
  • Contact person First name and surname
  • Telephone number for queries
After your feedback, we will order the licence(s) from Samsung. Activation of the licence currently takes at least 1-2 weeks. You will receive the licences directly from Samsung by e-mail and can activate them on the test server.

Yes, that is correct. If you can do without CMS functions and only want central control and management via Samsung VXT, Samsung offers 2 different VXT RM licences that you can order from us.

The exact differences and what is possible with the VXT Remote Management licences are explained in the table above. Ultimately, these remote licences are only used to manage and control the displays. This means that even if the displays are not used for digital signage, IT in large companies can view the current status of the displays at any time and make settings remotely. This is ideal for displays in meeting and conference rooms, for example. In the event of problems with the device, a quick check in VXT is often enough to find a solution and the meeting can continue without interruption by a technician.

Currently, all Samsung Signage displays equipped with the VXT Player support Samsung VXT. The VXT Player is already pre-installed on all new generation displays (Samsung QBCSamsung QMC and Samsung QHC). However, VXT can also be used for older displays and set-back boxes (SBB). The prerequisite is that at least Tizen 4.0 is installed on the devices. In this case, however, a firmware update is required to enable the installation of the VXT player on older devices.

Here you will also find a compatibility list for Samsung displays that can be used with VXT. In this overview, you can also see at any time which settings and remote management functions are available to you or not.

Yes, you can connect all display manufacturers on which Android (Android 10 or higher) is available and which have access to the Google Play Store to VXT. Simply download the VXT Player app and establish a connection with Samsung VXT. The VXT Player can now also be installed on Windows devices. This means that you can now use signage devices or monitors from other manufacturers without external hardware with VXT and display your signage content.

Support for other operating systems such as Linux is already being planned.
However, if you have a device that is not directly VXT-compatible or only has an older A operating system, we recommend purchasing the Samsung SBB for third-party devices. This set-back box would then have the additional advantage that this player can be controlled and managed entirely via VXT. The Samsung SBB only requires an HDMI interface and the latest firmware.

No, you don't have to buy a Samsung Signage display to test Samsung VXT. You can simply create a virtual display in VXT, pair it with the system and test the results without a display on any device that supports a Chrome browser. Even a tablet or smartphone can become a virtual display.

If you have a TV or display with the Android operating system, or a Windows PC that you can connect to a display, you can always install the free VXT player on these devices and thus connect a device to VXT.

Samsung VXT is certified according to both ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27701:2019. With these certifications, Samsung proves that its CMS platform meets the highest information security standards. These globally recognised certifications underline the importance of securely managing company and customer data and ensuring the integrity, availability and confidentiality of data. All Samsung VXT Cloud solutions that you purchase from us are hosted in Frankfurt am Main and comply with the requirements of the GDPR.

You also have the option of integrating your own certificates into Samsung VXT. Your own certificate authorises the connection to the user-defined system for secure WLANs or PMS, for example. The certificates can either be applied automatically when adding displays or to several displays at the same time.

Samsung VXT also offers Single Sign-On (SSO) for user management from the Pro licence upwards. SSO is an authentication method that allows you to authenticate yourself securely by entering your login details just once.

Samsung PIRS is one of the most important innovations in Samsung VXT. Samsung PIRS (Pre-Integrated Repeatable Solution) provides you with a variety of app-style extensions that have been developed either by Samsung or its partners. A large number of extensions are available under VTX with the PIRS extensions, which offer added value and simplification for customers. As these applications are directly customised for VXT, you can simply install them and use them immediately. You can integrate the various content/solutions available via PIRS without the need for technical partners. VXT PIRS extensions can only be purchased in conjunction with the VXT CMS and are invoiced separately depending on the provider.

Current PIRS apps - as of 28/02/2024:

  • Link My POS by Wisar: With this application from Wisar Digital, companies can use VXT Canvas to retrieve product data directly from POS systems. One example of this is digital menu boards. By replacing traditional static menus with dynamic and customisable displays, these boards can engage customers with eye-catching images, promote menu items more effectively and deliver updates in seconds. For example, in conjunction with VXT Canvas, you can create a template that allows you to dynamically update prices without having to track all changes separately in VXT each time. The data is automatically exported from your POS system and updated in VXT Canvas at the appropriate point. Once set up, you no longer have to worry about anything. It's that simple! We promise!
  • Ngine Real Estate: This service was developed in partnership with Ngine Networks. It enables estate agents to present properties for sale or to let on Signage Display. Ngine Real Estate can be connected to compatible providers to easily import existing exposés into VXT. If Ngine Real Estate is connected to Samsung VXT, there is no need to re-enter data, provided there is a connection to the relevant providers.
  • Ngine Automotive: This service comes from the same provider as Ngine Real Estate. Here too, Nigne Networks offers you a platform that works with various providers to import car, bike or boat listings directly into VXT. Even the distribution of news on social media is possible in this way.

Further PIRS are to be integrated by August 2024. From 2025, the number of authorised developers and providers will increase significantly once again. With PIRS, VXT is opening up to many practice-orientated solution providers and offers one of the most flexible digital signage CMS on the market. Everything united under one roof, everything integrated into the daily processes of your company.

Samsung VXT is compatible with all Samsung B2B displays. This includes Samsung LED Signage, Samsung Set-Back Boxes (SBB), Smart Signage Displays, Hotel TV, Business TV and The Wall. (Minimum requirement is Tizen 4.0 and the latest version of the firmware). Samsung TVs and devices such as Samsung The Frame are pure B2C products and are not compatible with Samsung VXT.

If you want to use these devices with VXT, you need the Samsung SBB for third-party devices or an external PC with an Android or Windows operating system and the free VXT Player app for Android or Windows.

Yes, Samsung Hotel TVs (with Samsung Lynk Cloud) can be integrated into VXT. Setting presets and creating channel lists and distributing them to the devices is possible as usual.

Since the beginning of September 2024, video wall mode has been available to all customers with a Pro plan. Simply log in to VXT and click on ‘Screens’ on the start page. Click on ‘Screen wall’ and simply drag and drop the displays you want to combine into a video wall.

No. How many Samsung VXT licences you need depends not on the number of users you wish to add, but only on the number of devices you wish to use with VXT. There is no limit on the number of users you can add. The only requirement is that each user must have a Samsung account, which is available free of charge.

In principle, Samsung does not currently limit the storage space. As long as you do not store any terabytes on the server, you do not have to expect any storage space limitations. However, it is important to know that all videos, images, files that you publish on the respective displays (including in playlists, schedules, etc.) are stored on the respective display when they are published. This is necessary so that your advertising content can be displayed even if the Internet connection fails. However, depending on the display, the available storage space is limited and can become a bottleneck. However, the storage of the Samsung displays and Samsung Set-Back Boxes (SBB) can be expanded using USB sticks and external hard disks, so that more/larger content can be published.

Yes, since April 2025, all available VXT CMS+RM licenses are also available with longer terms of 3 and 5 years. Simply select the term that best suits your needs.

Yes, a migration service from MagicINFO to Samsung VXT Service is available in certain cases. However, this is not a standard service and is only available to customers with approximately 100 or more MagicINFO licenses. If you have fewer licenses in use but a migration is necessary for various reasons, we can always put your case to Samsung. However, the migration itself will be carried out by Samsung and requires some details and information in advance. So if you have a larger number of MagicINFO licenses and a migration is necessary, please contact us. We will then clarify all the details with Samsung and arrange an appointment with you to explain the migration.

Important: a migration with only 10 licenses, for example, is not possible. The administrative effort would be too high. We therefore ask for your understanding that this service is really only available for larger projects where a migration to VXT would otherwise not be possible or only with an enormous amount of effort.

The license period for a VXT license only begins when the license is activated on the server. This means that if you order a license today that is generated by Samsung and sent to you next week, the license period does not begin when the license is sent to you. The license period only begins when you add the license to the VXT server and assign it to a device.

Please note: If you order 50 licenses, for example, and then assign one license from this license package to a device on the VXT server, the license period for the entire package starts. Therefore, in such cases, you should only order as many licenses as you will activate in a relatively short period of time, so as not to lose too much license period.
