Samsung QXC series - that little bit extra for your company

The new Samsung QXC series displays are a real eye-catcher. A uniform and extremely narrow bezel leaves enough space for the content, while the display blends perfectly into any environment. The new Tizen operating system and the revised SoC provide enough power to play 4K videos smoothly. The new user interface is even more intuitive to operate and control and the internal tools such as Smart View+ also offer even more options. The QXC series signage displays not only impress with their stunning design, but also with their impressive performance.

What does Samsung QXC series actually mean?

Quite simply: Q stands for the Samsung series, X is a placeholder and C for the current model year.

The Samsung Q series has consisted of 3 different type classifications for many years: B - M or H . These 3 types within the Q series are identical in terms of dimensions and functions. However, there are also small but subtle differences:

The Samsung QBC-series is the entry-level series and offers 16/7 runtime and a brightness of 350 cd/m². The panel is not anti-reflective (Haze 2%). The memory capacity is 8GB, no additional DisplayPort input. Compatible Logitech webcams for video calls can be used with the QBC series without a PC. Google Meet app is pre-installed.
The Samsung QMC-series is the mid-range series and offers 24/7 runtime and a brightness of 500 cd/m². The panel is anti-glare (Haze 25%). The storage capacity is 16GB, additional DisplayPort input available. Compatible Logitech webcams for video calls can be used with the QMC series without a PC. Google Meet App is pre-installed.
The Samsung QHC-series is the top-of-the-range series and offers 24/7 runtime and a brightness of 700 cd/m². The panel is anti-glare (Haze 25%). The memory capacity is 16GB, additional DisplayPort input available. Compatible Logitech webcams for video calls can be used with the QHC series without a PC. Google Meet App is pre-installed.

A new series is like a new life

And this is to be taken literally with the Samsung QXC series. In contrast to the previous series, all signage displays in the QXC series now have centred VESA holes again. Previously, the holes for mounting on a bracket were significantly offset, which was a real nuisance, especially when mounting in portrait format or on menu boards. The offset holes were also a major problem when mounting on a rotating bracket, as the display could not remain in position and simply continued to rotate. In all these cases, adapters had to be used to ensure that the display was centred on the mount. But customer opinion counts for Samsung. And so the displays in the new Samsung QXC series make installation life easier again. Finally, everything is back on track!

Flat as a wall

The displays in Samsung's QXC series are impressive. With a depth of just 28.5 mm, they are the thinnest models in the Samsung signage series. A matching slim-fit wall mount for precise and easy installation of the display in any environment can be ordered as an optional accessory for the QBC, QMC and QHC series. With its slim design, the QXC series adapts to the available space, fits seamlessly into the company and is 40 % thinner than its predecessor series. That really is more than just impressive.

An even edge

Who wants a border? It's not just with pizzas that many people are bothered by them, especially with digital signage displays, a large and uneven border is an even bigger annoyance. Nowadays, a narrow and even bezel is not only a visual highlight, but also ensures that the eye is focussed on the essentials. How good that Samsung listens to its customers in this area too. The displays in Samsung's QXC series have the same depth and dimensions on all 4 sides. This ensures a uniform appearance in any location, in any office - whether in portrait or landscape format.

Samsung will also soon be offering matching decorative frames that allow you to easily change the edge of the displays to a different colour. Without tools, changeable at any time.

Centred VESA drill holes

The VESA holes on the back of the Samsung QXC series are finally centred again. This distributes the weight evenly. This makes mounting in portrait format or on menu boards much easier and swivelling mounts are now also an option again.

Colours make advertising better

Samsung offers maximum colour brilliance with its QXC series signage displays. Thanks to Dynamic Crystal Color, colours can be displayed with up to one billion shades. The result is extremely realistic images and videos in which even the smallest details become an experience for the viewer.

4K from Samsung is another world

Picture quality is often a decisive criterion, especially in digital advertising. With the Quantum Processor Lite 4K, Samsung offers a video processing technology that makes the presentation of content clear and consistent.

The intelligent UHD upscaling technology is supported by the Samsung Quantum Processor Lite 4K and raises videos with a lower resolution to UHD level. It delivers professional picture quality compared to conventional Samsung Full HD devices.

Mirror on the wall

The brand new Samsung QMC and QHC displays feature reliable, anti-glare panels that enable better readability at any time of day and from any viewing angle. The glare-free display enables companies to provide information in critical locations such as airports and railway stations without disturbing reflections. Because you can have a make-up mirror at a much lower price.

Although the displays from the QBC series are not glare-free, they are also aimed at rooms that are not so bright or can be darkened. However, the glossy panel then also delivers outstanding picture quality.

An interface that adapts to you

Samsung's QXC series displays have a customisable user interface. This allows you to customise the start screen to your needs at any time. Preferred sources, favourites or functions can be made available directly for each user. You also have the option of blocking inputs or deactivating the WLAN. Samsung gives you all the freedom you need with the new Home UI. Once set up, a PIN code is required to change or cancel the settings. This is how security works in companies today.

SmartView+ for wireless meetings

SmartView+ is equipped with a wireless screen sharing function that allows participants to display their own devices (notebook, tablet or smartphone) on the signage screen. Even Apple devices can establish a wireless connection via the Samsung Signage app. Meeting participants can activate the screen sharing function at the start of the meeting to quickly switch between screens with just a few clicks. Up to 6 participants are displayed simultaneously on the QXC screens. SmartView+ is also equipped with a practical moderation function so that you as the moderator are always in control. This solution eliminates the need to purchase external hardware to provide BYOD in meetings. A real added value.

Calibration with the smartphone

With its Smart Calibration app for smartphones, Samsung offers a simple but extremely effective way of calibrating screens. Colours must be displayed in the same way on all screens. Panels often differ slightly from one another in their colour reproduction. This results in slight colour deviations, which are not acceptable for all customers. Whereas it used to be necessary to purchase a so-called Spyder to calibrate signage displays, a mobile phone is now sufficient. In this way, Samsung ensures that brand consistency is guaranteed for every display in the QXC series.

Expert tools included

The integrated professional modes offer a wide range of options in specific areas. Director mode minimises the post-production of videos and simply adapts the content to the director's original intention. This is particularly popular in the field of digital advertising. Medical professionals, on the other hand, can use the DICOM simulation mode to simulate medical images such as X-rays that comply with the DICOM greyscale standard. This allows you to flexibly adapt the QXC series displays to your requirements at any time and utilise them perfectly in different environments.

Samsung VXT CMS

Samsung QXC series displays are VXT compatible. Samsung VXT CMS is the new cloud-based solution that combines content management with remote device management. VTX enables remote control of hardware settings, troubleshooting and the easy ability to create and deploy content without prior training. With VTX, anyone is able to create and publish digital advertising on their Samsung Signage displays. Create digital menus for your restaurant or alert your customers to promotions in your shop. Use the "Meeting Room" widget to show which meeting rooms are currently occupied or display creative artwork on your displays during breaks. You don't even have to be on site. As long as the displays are connected to the Internet, you can access your signage displays from anywhere in the world and not only fill them with content, but also control and monitor them.
